Is he desparate? No.

Is he annoyed? You bet - he was looking good for a decent haul of points in a relatively slow car and let down by the gearbox.

I make that 30 points in total lost due to reliability. 18 in Spain and at least 12 here, maybe 15 depending on where Vettel would have exited from his drive through. Compare that to Button who maybe lost 4 points at Monaco due to reliability.

The Red Bull guys, especially Vettel, have been shafted more so by reliability... but then again they've also had by far and away the fastest car.

Its a shame as Hamilton (and Button) have driven very maturely this season despite not having the performance bar Turkey and Canada and for that perhaps deserve to be leading the constructors.

Well for Button now, the time has come where speed is important. The guy has fell back in todays race, hoping strategy would save him.
Yet he was passed by a couple guys and wasn't maximizing the car.

But as usual, Button is a very lucky fellow today. Hamilton out, Kubica out, Rosberg out. Those are instant promotions for Button in today's race. These retirements saved him the embarrassment.
Hamilton was the unlucky one today, he raced well, passed a renault on an impassable track, passed a ferrari in the pits and held the pace with the ferrari. Unfortunately Mclaren couldn't give him the car to challenge for a podium today.
For Sure!!

Yeah but he was going for it anyway. Petrov made it easier for him.

Not a great pass, but it was critical. :)
For Sure!!

MX probably made a joke because on exit of turn 1 Petrov had obvious oversteering moment and had to fight his car.
Interestingly Petrov commented that he didn't tried too hard to keep Hamilton at bay because he had problem warming up his tyres. Quite a wise decision for a rookie.

Of course it was a joke! ;) I said he was drunk because his car was wiggling and waving around when Hamilton was about to overtake him. Well, that and he's Russian so I immediately think of Vodka.

A drunk Russian? Never been heard of! A sober Scotsman, now that's another kettle of fish.

Petrov's drive was darn impressive the whole weekend. Not bad for a "pay driver". When he speaks he sounds like he's been in F1 for years. Hopefully he will have a long and successful career.

Most people on this forum love Hamilton (well because most people on this forum are from the UK, the USA or from Australia which heavily favors him just because you hear about him more and you can get to know him on a personal level...

That's BIAS.

I would say that most people here doesn´t even likes Hamilton, and there are a lot of different opinions about all the drivers, the fact that is an english speaking forum doesn´t mean that everyone here supports Hamilton.
No a todos los que hablan inglés les gusta Hamilton, como no a todos los que hablamos español nos gusta Alonso.

No, sir, that is TOSH!

You only have to look at this thread to see how many people hate/dislike/don't care for Hamilton. Plenty of Brits don't like him - too many Brits hate to see other Brits doing well and then go on to hate those who do well for themselves. That's why we don't have a British version of the "American Dream"...

Oh, and I see you're from Spain. Are you supporting Alonso or Massa? Presumably, in order to avoid bias, you're supporting Massa...

I liked hamilton before he got to F1, but the "BIAS" that we hear so much about is what put me off of supporting him.

The 2007/08 F1 coverage changed during this period, from a biweekly sports-cast to the Lewis Hamilton road show ... I found it quite sickening and found it very difficult to be pleased when he got his championship.

We aren't all the media-led zombies that the "british press bias" argument implies and I resent the accusation that it could manipulate me in such a blatant way : if the media concensus didn't sway my opinion of the Iraq invasion (at a time when dissent was VERY unpopular) then I doubt that my thoughts on a driver will be anything other than MINE.
