Danny Sullivan, TOJ F202, European F2 1977 in Hockenheim? As this looks like a wing car, I bet something is off in my answer, though...

perfect answer,that !
It was indeed Jörg Obermosers (team obermoser Jörg)second F2 car ,2 of them were build and Danny Sullivan and Rolf Stommelen should have driven these ,only one car was available for Danny but he failed to qualify.I think they tried 2 or 3 more times ,but no success.1 car was sold to Eugen Grupp he campaigned it in austrian Championship ,th ecar is rumoured to be in Canada now.
Obermoser lives 15km from my place and builds TOJ modelracecars :
http://www.toj-drom.de/

ah the F3 version F302 of that car was slightly more competitive,Peter Scharmann won the german trophy...almost all Obermoser cars carried Warsteiner Sponsorship ..I wonder how Warsteiner came to Arrows in these days...maybe Stommelen..
and to give some further F1 connection :the car is looking quite similar to a Merzario A1 (Kauhsen WK05)as designer was Kurt Chabek

Please restrict this to F1 and Grand Prix cars. F2, GP2 and other feeder series should not be an issue here.

Naturally the race was run on the old Hockenheim circuit. As everybody knows the cause of the accident was a mechanical failure.

This was the original memorial until 2008.

There is now a wooden cross which you can find if you take a hike through the shrubbery.

Last footage from the first 5 laps of the race.

This is the original site location of the accident.

This is the new location after the ring was shortened.

And this is what it looks today after an initiative by Lotus has considerably improved the site.

Great pieces there WB, why I bothered to look up the very race on wiki;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1968_Deuts ... oph%C3%A4e

Just look at that line-up, on the same weekend as the BOAC 1000 sportscar race btw, Hill, Surtees, Regazzoni, MrM himself and...Guy Ligier! Even Swedish legend Picko Troberg driving for Frank Williams was there, I had no idea?

While Dumrick is away I will just ask a quick one in between to keep us busy. Her should post his question any time he comes back regardless if this one is solved.

It's clearly an Alfa Romeo 179, year should be 1981, but as for the driver, I'm clueless, unless it's Mario Andretti with a funny helmet?

I may have been deceived by a shot from a historic race meeting at the Nürburgring when someone else drove his car. This one originally was driven by Bruno as we can see in the full size pic.
