Here is an interesting article. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/83556

Rosberg says he and Schumacher drive exactly the same way.

I almost think the Chassis give up thing hit Rosberg in Barcelona as it did hit Schumacher the race before..
Both were a t a loss to explain what happened ...

Whats the verdict so far after Monaco? Disputed results aside, the pace was about par this weekend.

what do you expect? they wring the neck of the silver machine as much as they can and both are well pedallers ,with Michael a bit more relaxed and prepared to try a bit more than one might expect.
How they managed to mess up Q3 is a bit frustrating but it does not make sense to dwell on things you cannot change anymore...

Yes,

About the Mercedes GP thread getting locked, it appears it was locked in order that a poster not be offended. From reading the final page of the thread I see no reason for it to have been locked. My opinion of course.

As for Rosberg getting preference, possibly. However Schumacher maybe taking a back seat this year aclimatising to the tyres and rules etc. He doesnt seem fussed this year, and to be fair whats the point in coming home 6th 7th or 8th when you want to be fighting for 1st?
Reports of Schumachers demise are greatly exaggerated IMO, He had Rosberg in his back pocket at Suzuka. Lets see what happens next year....

I think the thread was locked because the 'discussion' was circular and went nowhere for pages and pages.

Since Schumi came on board later that Rosberg, it's quite possible that in Nico's contract he had a stipulation for new parts first.

This is just speculation mind you, but would make sense.

I dont think Button would have liked that much, had he stayed of course.

Re the Merc thread, I made a valid point to MX Tifosi on Sunday morning which I have yet to hear response to(No doubt MX will get back to me, he usualy does)
That is, if you have an intrinsic distaste for Mercedes GP(in various guises too BAR Honda and Brawn)as one or two very apparently do, why post on that thread?

It strikes me as a large waste of time to post and not add constructively to the forum, in a topic you dislike?

It could also be that since Schu was having trouble with the car and the tires and needed to get back into the swing of things, maybe they all decided that Rosberg could make better use of the parts in the first year, which he obviously has. MS looked better last race, I'd hate to keep seeing him languish behind his younger less experience teammate.

I'd rather see him get beat in exactly the same equipment on a semi regular basis.

Best to wait for Brawn's response, which should be fun. I think Norby and Schumster are blowing smoke.

Its noticeable how his detractors appear quiet when he has a good weekend. Even in his Ferrari days Schumacher would have had his hands full with Rosberg.
Rosberg isnt a Barrichello, Irvine or Massa, I rate him higher than that.

Thing is, and what alot of people forget is that Schumacher has been out of F1 for 3 years and a huge change in tyres and regs. This along with a testing ban is going to have an adverse effect on a 41 year old.

People can stick the boot in, but its very refreshing to see Schumacher come out and take poor results on the (substantial)chin. It may be late on in the barons career, but he is endearing himself to me in a way he never did before.

what's ross supposed to say , norbert you are a liar ? he can hardly do that

as I see it schu has been a huge embarrassment to norbert this year , could even see him pensioned off ...no way would schu get less than the best they have available

Re: rosberg gets better car than schu

The only reason I never liked him, was that during his dominant years, it got tedious seeing him win every single race for the most part.

I'd like to see him win on his skill, not because he had the New York Yankees of F1 bought up and on his side.

I know there is more to it than that, but any driver who has a good weekend, even ones I don't exactly like, will get kudos from me.

As for the thread topic, two drivers having different parts might be some future proofing. With no testing, these parts might simply be evaluated during the race on a team with no hopes this year, looking to the next.

Well, I don't think they're accusing different parts, rather different quality, which I think is absolutely possible. Expected, even.

The day Mr. Mustache unveiled his Überpfiel whitewash I said that the whole thing was being handled in a way that wouldn't exactly make the boys building the car shine with pride.
