It was always on the cards when you saw the McLarens around Alonso. It becomes a different ball game when you're behind and in amongst other cars.
=D> Brilliant.

Why? It's called racing and Petrov did nothing wrong. It was upto Alonso to overtake Petrov and he clearly did not have that ability today.JohnsonsEvilTwin wrote:What would you lot do? Applaud him?
I would have driven the bloke off the road had it been me!!

After all his previous comments about 2010 being a good season even if he didn't win it, there you see the nerves get to him. He's behaving like a kid (which he's always been) and if you've been following it live after the race there's a shot when he sat at the steps of his motorhome (or whatever it was) and a bunch of Ferrari people surrounding him, giving a pat on his head and handing him the drinks. At that moment I felt again the incredible distance he has always kept between himself and his team. You can't help but think he's hating his pit crew so much at that time that he didn't care to respond to any of the people around him.andrew wrote:Why? Oh the Alonso fanboys are crying into their beer tonight!Nevermind, there's always next year.....
Take away the sarcasm and I agree with this sentence to the word. Nobody should ever abuse other drivers but take it out on the people who were at fault if they really need to.JohnsonsEvilTwin wrote:I mean its ok for Hamilton to slate his team over the radio, but not for a driver to vent his frustration at a driver he was stuck behind for 45 odd laps.
I think if you would have been in that situation and fail to get past someone while seeing your championship slip through your hands, you'd be frustrated as well. Claiming that he "just should have passed Petrov" is ridiculous. Alonso is in F1 for many many years, knows how to pass, and believe me he really wanted to. Sometimes it's just not possible. The Renault was running less wing and was very quick on the straight.netoperek wrote:He could simply overtake Petrov. Instead he was pointlessly too agressive in plasces where he should be closing the gap. Overtaking is possible in Yas Marina (as Kubica and Hamilton for instance proved). He was expecting Petrov and everyone else to act as his no.2s, and thats why he was waving his fist at Petrov. He just doesnt respect people, and thats shamefull.
