MercedesGP's KERS 2011

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

IMO it is the frame of the regulations that will have the most affect on which 2011 KERS is superior or not.

Ferrari, on the basis of the system Magneti Marelli, has spent $ 6 million for its KERS (3.75 M € development and 750,000 euros to support the teams - Ferrari, Sauber and Toro Rosso). By cons, Mercedes-Benz side, investment was 13 million euros!
It looks like Merc are much more serious about KERS than Ferrari. I imagine that in the future half their MBHPE Ltd. could be working on KERS, TERS and turbo compounding rather than on engines.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)
