Virgin MVR-02 Cosworth

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I believe Marussia is a title sponsor and not part of the name. Like Vodafone in McLaren's name

No what I'm saying is, it's not really part of the team name. The team name is still Virgin (like McLaren is still McLaren and Ferrari is still Scuderia Ferrari) but it will be included in the name like Marlboro for Ferrari and Vodafone like McLaren

I'm not saying to change the name of the thread to Marussia Virgin VR-02, but that the model name of the car is actually NOT VR-02, but instead MVR-02.

Virgin surely had pickup problem, but I don't think they'd had more than 4-5kg on their tank. Or they have nothing to do in Formula one!
5kg is already 1.5 to 2.5 tenth lost by lap. 23kg is more than 1 second!
I've just had the confirmation.
GP2 car '05 : less than 3kg
Formula one car end of '90s beginning of '00s : less than 1kg

Virgin clueless yet again, why name the car model number after the title sponsor?

...sigh, Because Marussia is more than a title sponsor, they have a controlling stake in the Virgin team, they'll soon race under a russian license.

The only team to go with a Low nose.

At a glance it looks underwelming.

Yeah, first impressions are that it looks more conservative than the VR-01!

At a glance it just looks like last year's car o.O

Edit: now that there are more pics it looks slightly different, wider nose etc. But the rest just looks......simple..? ^^ Just take a look at the sidepod airintakes
