Team Lotus T128 Renault

Is it just me or is there some really weird sculpting on the leading edge of the chassis underneath each sidepod air intake.
Not only that, the rendered car has a different front wing.
Looks like Lotus is still behind with some work. The suspension doesn't even seem finished.

Those don't look like real suspension parts

Think front and rear wings are fake / placeholders.

Front wing is very similar to one raced at the end of last season and too basic.

The rear is missing the adjustable element and also looks way too basic.

Good old loopholes :P

If looks are anything to go by, it will be a huge improvement (ok, that isn't hard) - i look forward to seeing how it goes in testing!

Yeah the suspension is missing the steering arms. Unless you are referring to the chassis attachments for each suspension arm? Weird gray colour but could just be their choice of material.

EDIT - Steering arms or push rods... or both?

The car looks like it's on jack stands.
The floor edges are interesting, can't wait to see where in the pecking order it ends up. So far it doesn't look like a consistent point scorer, though it should be able to capitalize on some wacky weather races.

One thing's for certain, the livery looks wicked in the rendering. The eq8 logo is cool.
The car should be in the candy green that we see in the rendering, their actual green looks worse in the flesh.

The arms seem to be poles stuck in the side of the chassis, with some rapid prototyped fairings.
This car aint ready for testing.
For Sure!!

Looks like a real Formula 1 car to me. And we should remember it got the Red Bull rear! Could you guys post more pics please, I didn't receive these TLN's. Thanks.

Didn't member connie promised us that two teams would run the blade roll hoop? So the first box is ticked.

Seen the pics, thanks. But are more "real" pics out there?

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

I agree, most likely a show car and not a real chassis. Might be that the real ones were packed onto a truck on the way to the test sessions??

Sidepod intakes look very much like the Brawn / Merc ones. At least the nose cone isn't straight off a Toyota this time.

So far these are the only ones out. They were only for the website and the magazine. I certainly hope that we get "real" studio and official launch pics. These are a joke.

Yes, there seems to be an opening there. But it's not unusual as many other cars have even had scoops to let in more air to cool the drivers.

Do you mean above the number 20? Could be for aerials or some other device not yet fitted.
