A proper track for testing now, I expect Marussia Virgin to be faster than Team Lotus this season.

Better test for checking tires I wonder. Certainly different.

Woohoo. My stomping ground, even if budgetary restrictions limit my involvement to looking over the bay and up the valley in the direction of Jerez. :(

Thankfully we're having a much drier winter than we had this time last year (which was the wettest in many a year). Fine and dry and looking like it will remain for the rest of the week.

LRGP will certainly conduct driver tests now that Kubica has become unavailable. Expect to see Bruno Senna and others....

Ricciardo will drive half a day for Toro Rosso instead of Buemi. Why that? Was this planned?

Simply put, Yes.

He is getting a half day at Barcelona in place of Jamie and is getting a full day at Bahrain as well seemingly so he is secure in what the car can do before he becomes the FP1 driver for 10 of the first 12 GP as id recon he will be left out at Monaco and probably Canada as those two circuits are very specific and need time in the cockpit for a key to a good race.

Going by the maps in the English and Spanish language entries in Wikipedia, I would say that the Senna chicane is used.

The map I used is from the Catalan language entry for Jerez, but I don't know why they use a different version.

I never really watched F1 back when Jerez was an active racetrack, so I'm rather clueless. I only know of when an Italian red car and a British blue car collided in the Dry Sack
