Are those FOTA rules? Does anyone know where to find the FOTA testing rules, btw? Seems a bit of a mystery. Or is that it?

No, ESP just wandered off into his wishes for how testing should be. It has nothing to do with FOTA.

And the FOTA website shows no signs of any sort of regulations. As per Pirates of the Caribbean, "the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules."

Do anyone have that link to the live timing site where the whole times over the day are being monitored?

It's not msfree.gr.

It is wet and cold and only four of eight cars are on track. I reckon we will not see serious track action before noon. Then the times will become faster as it gets warmer. Teams will probably go for race simulations mainly.

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Anyone know what the big dome thing is on the nose of the McLaren?

Can be seen here:

It's being discussed in the MP4-26 thread. It appears to be a device for measuring front wing loads and / or deflection. RedBull used something similar when they were developing the flexible front wing system last year.

Webber is showing colors ...as we have no supersofts this time around his time must be a bit of a concern for the opponents...

I don't remember seeing the vertical slots in the bottom of the McLaren RW before, or indeed on any car. This is new isn't it, or have I just missed it before?

New for Macca, not new for F1. Look into MP4-26 thread.

Very FW31/TF109/RB5/STR4 it is.

Glad to see Pirelli using the coloured wording now, makes it clearer what compound each team is on.
