More problems for McLaren. My oh my... First Hami had a hydraulics failure early in the morning, then around 11.00 am they experienced a problem with the exhaust that took more than 40 minutes to fix. The reliability woes aren't over, let alone performance...

The reliability is very worrying for McL. This is the team that traditionally had every production detail nailed before getting to the track.

If they are in a "mess" as brundle says, it would be mystifying to me why they didnt adopt a more conventional approach.
Looking at the 26, it seems take those fancy sidepods off it and you have a 25 without the fins.
Is it possible Mclaren spent to much time looking into the sidepod design(and exhausts) and making it work with the rest of the car?

Shame to see them off the pace like this.

They were on pace yesterday, with 86 laps. Not to worrying though that's why they call it testing. You want parts to fail now, not in a race. :D

were they though, ferrari weren't at the test and what about fuel levels etc.?

while its OK parts fail now and not in a race, you still need mileage to gain data to improve the car. Whilst the car is in the garage and not on track they are missing out on gaining data. its 50/50

So McLaren have run the least amount of laps today (not counting Williams, because they are basically stripping KERS). Even Virgin have run more laps today. Someone really needs their backside kicking.
Yer.

Not a clue, but it is no where near as consitent as Red Bull who did 4 laps within 0.2 second variation on all 4
