Briatore has advised Ferrari to forget their current car and throw all resources on the next year's design. I think it is a good idea but you can't keep doing it forever. So they better come up with something as impressive as the RB6 or RB7.
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best ..............................organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)
In fact, why shouldn't all Teams follow the same path and focus on next year's car?
Surely, McLaren was not too bad, but still 0.8sec in quali when RBR didn't even have KERS is an aeon in F1.
It's hard to see why anyone should bother at all watching F1 after such a performance by Vettel and RBR.
They (FIA, Teams) and we (fans) should all forget about it and take a vacation.
Then we (mankind) should all just commit suicide since, hey, we're all going to die one day, aren't we?
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. H.P.Lovecraft
As next years cars are again likely to be evolutions of this years car then it's a massively stupid idea. Doing this kind of thing didn't exactly help Mercedes or Lotus produce a massive step forward this year did it?
I think there should be another option for which to vote. Something along the lines of, "Flavio Briatore has a promising future in absurdist standup comedy."

Might be best to scuttle the 2011 season altogether (it's pretty much over now anyway), forget about competing in 2012, and really put a solid effort into the 2013 car. This tactic would all but guarantee the championship.
Now that I've had a moment to ponder Briatore's prudent wisdom, me thinks the flamboyant Italian is perhaps a bit too conservative in his assessment.
Ferrari should withdraw from Formula 1 immediately and on on their way out the door, hand over to Mateschitz every trophy they've won in the sport to date.
The proposal sounds a bit strange initially. Ferrari is in a fundamental crisis in my opinion. They are in a race to increase the efficiency of their racing department after decades of limitless waste of money. They are used to throw more and more money and resources at a problem to fix it. Obviously that is not an option in a resource limited competition. If they do not abandon 2011 their management may not be able to focus on fixing the basic problem instead of trying to win a particular championship.
