Well, yes. We have made the designs but I have an Engineer friend in the UK who has decided to up sticks and help me in Australia so we are now getting ready to get some industrial premisise and start cutting metal by the end of the year. In the mean time we are not making any new parts or drawings as we are at the point where we are going to spend money making stuff whenb we are actually in the same country. We hope to be making parts by November.
I wish the best of luck to you. I am working on a project myself and have just found a potential investor. If he is happy with the design and the estimated performance, he is willing to pay for the physical prototype. That is motivation for me to hurry up, but I have so much work ahead of me to get it to a state where I feel comfortable it will succeed in physical form.
I just stumbled across this thread. I have been working on the rotary valve design for some time now and have built a running prototype. I'm currently working on a second prototype. Sorry, still under wraps. I have a college coming from the UK and he has been held up with UK weather and now Visa Applications so we were hoping to have cut metal by now. The design for the prototype is done and we have all in place to start things but we are looking to start maybe March/April. Sort of dealing with 300 Gajillions of water in Queensland at the moment so we are pleased we did not start because all the places we were going to start in have gone under in the last few weeks. So, we will wait till it all drys out and pick somewhere that has not got wet in the last two months and by then, my college will be ready with his paperwork. I don't think we are behind scedule yet on getting a V8 (or what ever Mr Eccleston decides will be the new F1 format) F1 option up and running for 2013. We will see but than ks for the Question. I've waited 15 years, I can wait a few months yet.
Hello rotaryvalveman, I read all the post but I can't find a question that is very important for me, are your rotary valves variable timing suitable?, because I think cross-bishop aren't and they also share admission and exhaust so no overlap is possible, this two things make impossible, to use them in a clean efficient engine for street use.

Hi. Regarding the Cross/Bishop thing, I know Peter Gabelish who shared collaboration, I have been told, with Bishop. Yes, they all share a single shaft which stops overlap flexibility. Mine, however, uses two shafts and, although I cannot reveal too much, we have adjustable timming, overlap and flow whilst running. the prototype will have fixed timming and overlap but adjustable on a "stop-change-evaluate" basis but the later ones will be infinitely adjustable whilst running. we just want to look at the envelope that this works in first. we have already got variable flow which is effectivly timming but as there is no load from a camshaft spring, the ability to change timming relitive to top-dead-centre and opening/closing relitive to inlet/exhaust so now we have so many perameters to look at we are overwhelmed with what to adjust first. I hope that answers your question. One thing we want to achieve is to make an engine spec that makes it IMPOSSIBLE for the powers that be to refuse the technology in to the likes of F1 for any other reason than politics. It won't be down to cost as it is cheaper to make, even at prototype but we shall see what we shall see on that. Thanks for the Question.

On the contrary, anything that can make these dammed electric things go away the better. the interesting thing is how you design the seal, not the rotors. The twin rotor idea is not new. From what I can see, I am the only person who has made one run for longet than an hour whereas single rotor designs such as Cross, Coates, Gabelish, Bishop and the like have made singles run for tens of thousands of miles. If you lived anywhere near me in Brisbane you are welcome to come and help but I have no idea where in the world you are. I need to make it a commmercial success yes, but I am not in it to make a fortune, already lost one so hey, not an issue. No, I am here to stop the march of theses battery powered items with the soul of a brick. So, for me, the more the merrier. Picking an engine up to start cutting metal whithin months now, in fact going to get the bsae engine whithin a month and start hard designs. Determined to take my bike to work and back on a daily basis by Christmas this year. If someone beats me to it, I will still be happy. Go for it fella.

Hi, sorry but it all comes up in Persian and I can't seem to persuade the site to shift over to English.
For the record, the first engine we are making is a 250cc twin that already produces 40bhp in present poppet valve and camshaft trim but we are only going to go for about 60-70bhp even though we know we can get more. What we are interested in is just how much further down the rev range we will get with usable torque. Final designs should be CAD modeled in 4-5 weeks and metal will be cut about a month later. We have a mule bike and an exact copy in standard trim.
For those who may know of him, I had the pleasure of meeting mr Peter Gabelish last week who has been playing with Rotary Valve engined motorcycles for the last 40 years but failed to get it commercialised due to, in his own words, "backing the wrong hourse" but that is what I needed my colleges to learn, not engineering. He was also friends with Bishop who made inroads ti F1 witht he V10 that is at Ilmore but was killed by the politics and the latest V8 thing which was cloaked as a "cost saving" but we all know the real reasons. Politics.
So, we are still here and still plugging away at it but leaving nothing to chance on the engineering. So, 1boy, if you could maybe download the English version of the page you are trying to how me and maybe PDF it, then post it here we can all read it. not sure if it has anything or nothing to do with engines either directly or indirectly but I would love to read it none the less.
