FIA is going to introduce two DRS zones in the future:

What do you think of this?
Given that it's montreal, I'm less convinced. If it were arranged either side of the wall of champions, you'd be able to defend on the first straight, and one or other would have to get out of it on the chicane.myurr wrote:This is going to be a disaster in my opinion. The defending driver will have to go off line on the first straight to defend, leaving the two cars running incredibly close anyway. On the second straight the attacker will just breeze straight past. I hope I'm wrong but I can't see this as being a good thing.
But this won't happen – as someone pointed out up thread, there's only one detection zone, so the car that had made the pass would be allowed to use DRS in the second activation zone, not the car that is now behind.n_anirudh wrote:If two cars are within 1 sec on the back straight and the following car makes the overtake, and now the car which was ahead becomes the following car and repasses on the following straight..
Good entertainment ...yes...but the over all effect is somewhat nullified..esp if it happens in Cannada
its gonna be the same in Monza as well...
