I don´t think we have seen anything yet. Thursday is not really showing much.Renault 2seconds off the pace? I´d think we have seen dramatic differences in fuel loads.Saturday is the day.Or would someone believe the supersofts are lasting with big fuelloads... I think Monaco is a track where all teams pay morte attention to the Grid pos

It's going to be a beautiful race, hopefully.

1:13 laps, I don't know, perhaps. Last year it was done.

You usually clean the whole track, you don't want the rubber to clog the drains.

As usual, yeah, marcush, I agree with you: the battle for the grid will be even more beautiful than the race, but maybe this happens at Monaco every year. This race is almost like a confirmation of the qualification...

Perhaps this year will be interesting to watch what the new regulations have made to the race.

I say that because I think that, with Monza, this is one of the extreme races, where regulations either plunge or soar... they are taken to the edge in a very high (or low, as in Monza) down-force type of circuit.

I can imagine that Ferrari has changed their plans a bit as a consequence to last year when Alonso had to sit out the qualy due to his FP3 accident and they gave their boys a taste of low fuel driving early and play it a bit more safe in FP3 this year?

Assuming the RBR KERS is not usable for the entire race, because of overheating or another factor, I'd assume they would use KERS in qualifying in an effort to get the front row. Then if the Bulls are not beaten into the first corner they can pretty well control the race. I do hope this does NOT happen! Good to see Alonso soldiering on despite the unaviodable mess of a re-org. (Reasonable to assume that Costa and his closest allies will all be let go.)

I really hope they get a good result today at 2pm, when the judgement is announced! [-o<

Seems both sides win in some respects, with Group Lotus to try and appeal for sole use of Lotus name in F1

True to some extent, Barcelona is actually a track "statistically" that is more in favor of "the pole man wins the race" type of thing. And we know how that went ;)

Not so sure about Red Bull, but I hope your right. I'd love to see a "Steel Cage Match" Between Fred and The Boss” :D
I think it will come down to who can bust out the best quali 3 lap. It's times like this that reminds me how much I miss

It's here! Friday was a long day!

I wonder who's without water this weekend.. did you see on Thursday the leaking pipe? it was coming up through the ground on the grid. They seemed to just shut it off so someone will be going without.

The drivers will all be tucking into their maccy's breakfasts about now

I think we could see a good battle even if RBR locks the front row. If someone's race pace is better than theirs, and he can stay close to front runners, then the undercut strategy could work. I think Hamilton or Alonso can do that, but I'm not sure if Ferrari is so good at long runs even here. In Monaco you can run pretty close to others for a long time without loosing much tyre, because there are no high speed corners, and the dirty air hasn't so much effect on the following car. You need to squeeze just 2-3 laps more out of your tyre, and make those laps clean and fast. Which is hard, but not impossible. If RBR has the ultimate race pace, then it'll be a boring race. I don't espect much on-track overtaking...I wish I'm wrong though.

I think this will be a battle between Alonso, Hamilton and possibly Webber.
Vettel for some reason just doesn´t seem as fast here.

Kubica i would love to see, he´s sort of a Monaco specialist imo.
