Best passing manoeuvre

Post

What's your favourite passing manoeuvre old or recent? Preferably, post a video.

Here's mine, from china this year:

It's not so much the pass that's impressive, it's the set up – take the outside of the hairpin to get a better drive out, squeeze them over on the next corner to again get better drive; KERS them, KERS them again across the line, and up we go.

Personally I'm not keen on that one – would have been great if he'd given schumacher room to stay on the track, but as it was :/

There was plenty of room to stay on track, Schumacher dropped it.

The video shows him losing bits of front wing to Montoya's front right wheel.

Edit: I take it back, after watching it a few more times, it's clear to me that schumacher actually understeers into montoya, clips his own wing, and then spins because of it. With that in mind... yeh, it's a pretty damn good pass!

Nelson Piquet shows Senna how it's done into turn 1 at the 1986 Hungarian GP. Nice slide by Piquet.

Jean Alesi passes Damon Hill at Suzuka 1995

And an epic fail from Jaques Villeneuve.

Villeneuve on Schumi at Estoril 1996 round the outside at Parabolica.

DC on Schumi after lots of finger gestures in France 2001

I like a good overtake..

Montoya did a few at Austria 2001..that was a cool race.

It needs to be by the skin of the teeth.

Hakkinen taking Schumacher at Spa.....wow...

I was actually there....on the Kemmel Straight that day
at Spa and hollered loudly as Mika raced up behind MS.

I was a witness to the most daring F1 overtake of a decade
and recall Hakkinen gaining on MS lap by lap by lap until....
'Mika.....you made history'

Spa is my favourite place for racing

Wheel to wheel at over 300 kms p/h coming into a tight corner at the end of a long straight, both drivers not wanting to give an inch? Makes a good one for me. What I liked about it is that you can see Senna looking over on two occasions while Mansell is completely focused on the corner, almost as if Senna blinked first and hence lost the corner. 8)
