Why do this to yourself?

Apparently Lewis has a break clause which he can activate if McL don't win the WCC/WDC for a number of years. Having said that, I can't see him at Red Bull/Ferrari due to their respective star drivers. Alonso I think will do a Prost-like veto of Hamilton joining Ferrari. Horner has already said he thinks Vettel-Hamilton wouldn't be a good pairing.

I think he's more likely to go to Renault actually. I think Renault will be eager to get a driver which can (potentially) replace Kubica; and Webber and Hamilton seem to be the race-winners who are ready to change teams.

Will Renault be able to give him a champion's salary? I don't believe he's ready to drive for a humble one.

He keeps on saying that he's in it to win it and not in it for the money, but now with Simon Fuller as his manager I think Simon Fuller may have other ideas. Also, while I do believe he wants to win, and would rather take a pay cut and a winning car rather than a non-competitive (though the McLaren is still competitive, mind you) car that pays well, I don't think he's ready to go midfield, with midfield pay.

But if Robert doesn't return to F1 (touch wood) I think Renault's best options are Webber and Hamilton, and if they want to be number ones in a car that could win in the future (but not make them wait too long for it) Renault could be their best option.

Lol.
I'm all go Froggy.
I'm just giving you time to come to your senses.

Hamilton's record against teammates speaks for itself.
He only fell behind button becuase of being taken out by him in Canada.

If he were to go to redbull i don't think Seb would like it, as he seems to be a kid that cannot take teammate pressure.
We see this a lot if he loses to Mark in Q3 or in the races. And mark isn't really a guy to rub his achievements in anyone's face like Alonso.
Hamilton to redbull would be met by aprehension at first, but once they see that he's faster and has more race craft, they wont try to protect Seb.
Seb is just like riciardo, Buemi and Alguashari, just an instrument. Redbull is to big a marketing company to get attached to these guys.
Marko is the one making it look like Seb's the mama's boy at redbull.

If Seb get's his but handed to him by Hamilton, rebdull wont try to handicap the other guy. The better driver will simply be allowed to take over.

And i really don't see a problem with Hamilton going to redbull. Any but Alonso will learn to fit in, as Alonso is the only driver in the past decade that seems to have personal problems with teammates.
For Sure!!

Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

Bear in mind that winning the title brings in huge endorsement deals that are worth as much, if not more, than the driver's salary from the team. Winning the title for free (i.e. no driver salary) would still net a huge take-home bonus from advertising deals. Winning is the key, not salary.

A switched-on manager will know this and look to maximise winning potential rather than just salary / driver status in the team. Better to be number 2 at RedBull on a few thousand a race and win the title than be number 1 driver at Ferrari on $10m / year and win nothing.

I don't think Hamilton is interested in Money. He said he has never once looked at how much is in his bank account.

No but that's what we're talking about. He might not be, but his manager comes from the managerial world of showbiz, and might have other designs.

Well not in the same car he is. So there's no comparison.
That's why it's imperative that the both be in the same team.

Vettel doesn't want that, but you can't say the same for the team managers.

Let's say he goes to RB, how long would he stay, keeping vettel in mind.
For Sure!!

OK, Maybe my memory is fuzzy.. but He didn't check his account until sometime in 2009!

HOW old were you and what did it feel like seeing £1million in your bank account for the first time?

Do you know what? I didn't check my bank balance until my third year in F1 which was in 2009! That's the first time I saw what I had.

Before then I just didn't check. My dad was my manager and he took care of those things for me.

All I asked was to make sure that I could pay my rent, put fuel in my car.

I'm not surprised. Firstly, you need every ounce of concentration and effort to succeed in this sport, so you leave finances to your manager. he had a horrid first season, then the second was a WDC that went down to the wire. In those circumstances you just focus on the job. We hear of plenty sportsmen and pop stars who do a similar thing and then are shocked when they see their manager/team/record company has ripped them off.

George Michael is the first case that springs to mind so he went on strike for a few years.

Queen wrote Death on Two Legs about their manager (allegedly) when they could barely afford to buy drum sticks but the manger bought a Rolls Royce.

You break the law and you preach
Screw my brain till it hurts
You’ve taken all my money
And you want more
Misguided old mule with your pig headed rules
With your narrow minded cronies
Who are fools of the first division
Death on two legs
You’re tearing me apart
Death on two legs
You’ve never had a heart of your own
Kill joy bad guy big talking small fry
You’re just an old barrow boy
Have you found a new toy to replace me?
Can you face me?
But now you can kiss my ass goodbye
Feel good are you satisfied?
Do you feel like suicide?
(I think you should)
Is your conscience all right
Does it plague you at night?
Do you feel good feel good?

You talk like a big business tycoon
You’re just a hot air balloon
So no one gives you a damn
You’re just an overgrown schoolboy
Let me tan your hide

You’re the king of the ’sleaze’
Put your money where your mouth is

Should be made unemployed
Then make yourself null and void

The same happened to boyband Nsync as well. But hopefully he keep his dad in charge of his accounts instead of his new manager. Vettel on the other hand has no manager. Could mean that he is not putting himself out there enough.

Simon Fuller doesnt have the track record in not making money and I dont expect anything to change just because its Lewis Hamilton
