It´s not his first race in Formula 1 to end the paralells...Schumacher had a handful of laps before doing this backk then .I think Senna has done considerably more mileage in F1 machinery since 2008.The boys today are not made of the same wood.

Coal can burn and ignite. And produces good kilowatts for every dollar.

Shumi is more like ashes in a golden urn now. He's burnt out.

In the back of my mind, i think Heidfeld is more suitable for teams like Suaber; more german. Teams like Ferrari and Renault, he's just not compatible, not fiery enough to empower the team. Sauber has ALBERT to empower the team so Heidfeld's charisma is not important to them, so he'll fit in there.

He may well be a better package over a season than Bruno, but right now Renault need speed, charisma and TV time. They don't need an old guy who's not quick enough or outspoken enough to draw attention from the mechanics or the media.
He's too negative as Boulier said.

Great performance by Senna! I think he has the right genes to be able to get that speed when it is needed!

One explanation is that Spa is to Senna like Monaco is to Maldonado, Brazil to Massa and Canada to Hamilton.
Could be a super performance here and mediocre elsewhere. Time will tell.

certainly nobody is immune to a mediocre performance.

In any case I'm not ready to pass judgement yet, though I am as pleasantly surprised as anybody. 1 qualifying session in variable conditions doesnt tell the whole story, as strategy is such a big part of it. and dont forget, points are awarded on sundays. He could end up like Di Resta in terms of results (though not all of those poor finishes was Di Restas fault).

Excuse me but I find it ridiclous that most of the guys first go saying stuff like 'stupid switch, Senna is going to suck bla bla bla' and then when Senna shows good pace in Qualifying it suddenly is 'in your face nick'. That is just sad.

Interesting to read how so many members go completely overboard just because a pay-driver with an interesting surname shows well during a most unpredictable qualification session? I think it would be wise to wait a few races before comparing him with Alonso.
