I didn't write them down in any of the races because they've been highly unpredictable this year but I still think they could be very competetive in Monza and Singapore. I may be very wrong but I'm gonna try to explain why.raymondu999 wrote:I find it very fascinating that no one figures Ferrari will be any good at any of the last few races except for Monza
In my opinion, Ferrari = Good mechanical grip. I believe that's exactly why they were so strong in Monaco.
So what do you need in Monza? You need good traction and good straight line speed.
Basically, in Monza you're gonna have to run low downforce setups(especially this year) so you get good straight line speed. But that's not the only thing. You actually need really good traction to be fast through the corners and to have good acceleration out of them. And the key factor of having good traction in this case is good mechanical grip. And Ferrari obviously is really gonna enjoy the Monza weather. So they just might be very strong there. Of course this is all assuming that they're also going to have good top speed.
On the other hand Singapore has a lot of stop and go corners where traction pretty much plays the biggest role.
Ferrari have proved very strong in the extremes, in this case Monaco and Canada. But they're lacking a good balance in other tracks that require a bit of everything.
