Button used to be good back in the days of one lap qualifying in his BARs. But that could have been down to the car...who knows...

I used to love his laps back then. Sure you see his beautiful sweeping moves on the wheel; but he was just about the only driver who didn't rely on traction control. He fed the throttle in smoothly so you didn't get that engine stuttering noise of TC.

Personally; I'm thinking it will be Alonso in runner up again.
Webber, because the car is getting a bit more ahead again. Many a times the speed of a car will get it to it's rightful spot by the end of the race as long as your strategy is sound and you don't get any cock ups.

Webber

Well we have to admit Webber's been quite good with consistency too; Looking at results alone; he is the absolute best midfielder by a mile.

I can´t be impressed when you have the fastest car on the grid yet you can´t even win 1 race.

We all know what the car is capable of so the fact that he´s not even close to Vettel i think says more about him then Vettel.
It´s like RBR´s own Felipe Massa it seems with Mclaren the only team with 2 very strong drivers.

I've been thinking about this a great deal. I wonder. Say we come to a weird position in Singapore or Suzuka. Where Mark is ahead of Sebastian on the track.

Let's say that if the race finished in that order it did; Alonso and the McLarens would be knocked out of WDC contention, but Mark hasn't yet been knocked out of WDC contention. However if Mark let Sebastian through; then Seb's WDC would be secured. So it's "keep the current position, and let things run between Mark and Seb," or it's "let him through and get the WDC over with."

Do you think Mark would let the guy through?

It would arguably give him a better chance at the 2012 WDC title; sealing the WDC would just let them easily seal the WCC while the entire RBR tech team goes to work flat out on the RB8

Your over-thinking this scenario IMO If we’re talking about a decision with 4 or 5 races still left in the current season I think Red Bull will just Let it play out.
They are already working on the 2012 car and I think they would rather just savor the experience. Kind of like Ferrari did in 2002 where Mike actually gave a win to Rubens by trying to finish the USGP in a dead heat. They’ll toy with the field if they get the chance.

Webber giving up a win? LOL Webber has to much pride in himself to do that.

I can´t imagine Horner saying that he has to let Vettel past. Not that i think Webber would listen.

This is getting very interesting now. Button on the podium 4 times in a row, Webber going backwards, and never underestimate Alonso.

The run in to the end of the season is going to get very interesting.

balls no they wouldnt do taht at singapore or suzuka, theres still plenty of races left on the calenndar and at this point vettel just needs to finish in front to win the WDC... he no longer needs to actually win races.

Not even that – he just needs to score a single world championship point. It doesn't matter where Button finishes, Vettel getting a single 10th place will win it.

Even if he doesn't get a 10th, if Button doesn't win 1 of the 5 races then it's a done deal
