Attending Singapore GP 2011

Post

I will be attending the next Singapore GP and this is my first Gran Prix

I have been a fan of Formula One since 2006 (rookie here :) )
My months savings have only manage to get me a Friday and a Sunday Zone 4 Walkabout ticket.

My aim is to experience the atmosphere of Formula One grand prix and I really hope that I could bump driver at their hotel/restaurant/promo event/paddock entry (any tips for this?)

So anyone from here attending lets meet up and am really open to any reccomendation/suggestion/tips :)

See you there folks!
Ay Carumba!

Don't stalk drivers, that's creepy. IMO.

But have fun, and take plenty of good pics!

Come back and tell us all about it !

Every GP I've attended was a unique and memorable event.
(Kyalami, Estoril, Magny Cours, Silverstone, Spa and Monaco).

I've gone to the Singaporean GP for the first two years in 2008 and 2009 where there were... just about 0 overtakes. I decided 2010 wouldn't be worth going and it was actually not bad with kamui, webber and kubica dicing through the field. So now I'm coming to the race. Again.

I dont literally mean to stalk them. It's more like looking for info where they have promotional event or where they stay and hope to bump into them :D

But as I only have zone 4 Walkabout Ticket my access will be very limited.

My budget is very limited, so I get only zone 4 walkabout ticket. But I will be able to watch Linkin Park too!

Anyone have any sources for teams promotional events or accommodation?

For those who are attending or have attended a GP weekend: how much did you spend or are planning to spend? Tickets+hotel+food+etc.

(This also goes out to those who went to Monza a week ago.)

I'm hoping to attend at Austin in 2012 and want to start planning soon, with a general overview of what a GP weekend consists of and whether it's worth it. If not then a better graduation gift will be planned out.

I went to Silverstone a few years ago... It cost roughly...
£300 for the tickets
£30 for the camp site (free hog roast thrown in \o/)
£40 each way for taxis from the railway station
£150ish for various excitements at the track.
