This is about the race for second.
Hear hear.

Anyways, Webber has stated before that Singapore doesn't really suit him, so combine his aversion to Marina Bay with his poor (     ) starts, I was relieved to see him still be on the podium. However, second was his to win when he as climbing up on Button (at times 4s> to Button) until he somehow just started dropping away and let things coast after the final pit stop.

It is that inability to dig down deep to eke out those improved lap times that has kept him in 3rd place a lot. Frequently, he would be given clean air ahead of Alonso or Button, but couldn't manage improving tenths of a second per lap to gain advantage in pit stops. However, as seen in Singapore, he does have the skill to overtake smoothly and without incident (poor Alonso).

So I will still vote for Webber to make it back. I'm thinking that Suzuka will suit the RB7 well, RBR will want to dominate in Korea to make up for 2010, India will be the wild-card track (hopefully it will be more finished than Korea was last year), Abu Dhabi may be Vettel and Alonso's track, while both Vettel and Webber have had good history at Sao Paulo.

3 points separate 2nd through 4th in the Championships.

Would it be too much to ask from the clutch-gods to give Webber a decent start :D and a GP win?

I think a GP win at this phase is honestly too much. Vettel is just on another level than he is at the moment; and the races where he has a car good enough to win; Seb will as well. I get the feeling that Mark "asks too much" of the car in slow corners; he brakes too hard too late; powers too hard too early etc. Even in his Monaco pole lap; you could see; for example on the exit of the casino square he just out-tractioned himself and his rear was sliding, he locked the front into Mirabeau and missed the apex, missed the apex by quite a bit at the hairpin, again at Portier, and missed it massively at Rascasse.

I think this because he's always been weak in Abu Dhabi Sector 3 as well if you really think about it.

In a weird way, I think he misses the ABS and traction control of years gone by.

I'll have to take a closer look at some of his laps compared to other teams in different years. I just hope that he can improve enough to get back some of the form from 2010, but, like I said, it's just hope.
