Comparing long run FP times to qualifying make it look like Red Bull are very fast in race trim. Hope I'm wrong for the sake of the race.

Also had a look at strategy options. I can make two, three or four stops fastest depending on performance of the primes, and degradation of the options. I'm hoping that we get some different strategies to spice things up a bit. It might not matter, though, if Red Bull are as fast as they looked yesterday...
I really doubt this again – McLaren have consistently had faster race pace than RBR relative to qualifying throughout the season. Hamilton also said after FP sessions that they were pretty certain that they were running much much more fuel than anyone else, so I think we'll see a much closer race than you think.

Very impressed by Vettel though. Best qualifier since Senna hands down.
Hamilton: "Is it worth getting a tow?"
Pit » HAM: "Only for the last sector. If you catch a car before then, it will hurt you. You need at least a 4s gap to the car in front."
I know you're trolling, but if you dind't know..

None of them would get a lap. each need 4s to the other to be uncompromised. It would not have worked out either way.
Blame Button for slowing up everybody.

Btw; did anyone else notice LH had a much lower speed trap ranking than JB?

Also it was reported that all the frontrunners ran on scrubbed tyres in their first Q3 runs which I think is becoming the fashion in Q3 - instead of doing only 1 run in Q3; they do 1 "fresh" run and 1 run on scrubbed tyres that weren't due to be used anyways. If that were true; that would mean that LH would have to start on scrubbeds; no?

Why was it so easy for Webber to blast past LH in the qualifying clip?
Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

Traction - Hamilton was slow on an outlap. It wasn't a driving issue/error

I would say yes as the tyres you qualified on are the tyres you have to start the race on.....

Oh...I was wondering why he was implying that Schumi and Webber were the cause of him not getting over the line in time.....

He wasn't blaming shumacher. He was just saying Michael was dangerous.

Which is true.

Mike re ntered the track dangerously; watching the video. Hamilton lifted when MS re entered.

If he was blasting around the corner chasing webber, they may have been a coming together with Mike, or a really close call.

None would set a good time anyway, but it was just something to note.

Button slowed them so he alone could get a lap.

I wasn't watching qualifying so I could be mistaken; but was Button himself not backing off so he got a clear lap from Massa?

As an aside; Martin Brundle (for those of you who watch the BBC) will be doing his regular q3 lap comparo between JB and SV. Can't wait to see that. 0.009 should make an absolutely fascinating comparison

Here's what he said on twitter:

LH should just be an all out "bad boy" on and off trach instead of trying to be a Mc product.

Who cares about qualifying details that happened yesterday, the point is both McLarens are fast, enough to give Vettel a challenge. Those .009 th's of a second were made up in the degners, hair pin, and Spoon, three corners with clearly defined apexes. The rest of the track is made up of corners without clearly defined apexes, and surprise surprise McLaren trounced RB there.

I'm pretty sure Hamilton is going to win tomorrow, he's the fastest one, and he can use the DRS to pass. Either that or he takes out Vettel and we go to the next race without a WDC decided.

Do you feel threatened by Button or something? Or did you always hate on Hamiltons teammates for no reason? I'm not judging though, I'm just curious to know.

Anyways, Lewis is on the clean side so he should get past Button easily. But I doubt there's anyone who can actually challenge Vettel tomorrow unless he makes a mistake on his own. Especially considering that McLaren seems to be much slower on heavy fuel.

I can't really say as I have not seen the footage of the incident other than the little clip below in another post but it seems to me he was trying to imply that MS and MW were the cause for him not getting in a hot lap but from what I can gather he was just plain to slow....

I missed the quali, but the Ferrari's are not that far behind. Maybe it is unwise to write them off. Massa ahead of Fred means Fred probably made a mistake and he is closer to McLaren than the Q3 result would suggest.

Don't even start it!

He slowed the pack full stop.

Now to the race tonight by my clock.
