Ferrari had it on the 312T 1975 ,the Transversial box was born out of packaging needs to accomodate the DeDion suspension ..but I always thought it was not raced ...
Funny that, I always thought that it was a standard feature on the 312T, but now that you mentioned it, I've found some sources on the web saying that it was only xperimented with, while others still confirm that the case was the former.
Either way, good job marcush, baton is yours!

Manfred Winkelhock was car electrics technician by profession. He actually built up his DTM junior "Works"car himself...
His skills came in handy in Formula 1 at ATS in 1983 when ATS somehow got hold of M-power Turbos and nobody in the team had a clue about electrics and electronics when ATS went to the preseason tests in Southamerica.Manfred doubled up as technician and trced the failed electrical connections so they could get the car to turn a wheel..
The car was the designed by Gustav Brunner ATS D6 a famous milestone in Formula 1 as it had no separate Bodywork covering the monocoque .Scored no points though but set the trend for almost all modern monoposto racecars.
