Xmas message by Montezemolo

Post

“We cannot be happy with the way this year went and there is a great desire to redeem ourselves, because results don’t come on their own, they are not delivered by a stork: it will take hard work from every one of you. I want to be optimistic, because I can see the concentration and the attention to detail which characterises the efforts being made by Domenicali and his people, by Fry, Marmorini, Lanzone and Tombazis. All the ingredients are in place to start winning again.”

Dream on!!
Formula One's fundamental ethos is about success coming to those with the most ingenious engineering and best .............................. organization, not to those with the biggest budget. (Dave Richards)

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

I'm optimistic too :D

He forgot to mention the one person who probably put more effort than anyone else for Ferrari in 2011, Fernando Alonso!

Actually he had some really great words for Fernando.... :)
Fernando has had an amazing season, even though he did not have a competitive car and he made us all happy at Silverstone, with an emblematic victory, given it came at the same circuit and in the same month in which, sixty years ago, Ferrari took its first ever Formula 1 win.

When I'm old enugh to recall the old man's xmas messages, his was far more xplicit and xpressive, like in 1972;

"CanAm is a 1000 horsepower madness leading to nowhere!"

Sadly enough, he was correct.

Oh, some member(s) have indeed sniped the sh*t out of Mercedes. In fact, one might say it's been turned into a real artful xpression.

It's all in good fun. Let's not forget that we're all just following a game.

It's just shame BMW didn't stick around long enough to be any real fun. I guess it's to their credit they got out the very moment they realized they hopelessly stunk.

Original post is interesting, but hardly a base for a good discussion, other than fans and no-fans discussing with each other.

Sorry guys ;)
