CHT - Goran isn't saying Vettel won't do it, he's saying Vettel hasn't

Vettel has all the statistic to proof otherwise, unless you believe that all other great WDCs win their WDC without having a dominant car.

Anyone want to make a guess how many years will it take for someone to break Vettel's record as the youngest WDC and double WDC?

You're not reading my comment right. Read what Goran said again: he said MANY MORE TIMES. Has Vettel done it already? Yes. Has it done it many times already? No

Not only great for RBR, but for F1 as a business/sport/entertainment!

To me, it just goes to show how brilliantly intelligent this kid is.

I think for as long as vettle has a winning car and no one else does like 2011, he will win. I like webber but he can't match vettle. Now i would love to see Hamilton as vettles team mate. That would be his true test.

I think you meant Vettel.

Hamilton's talent has been over-glorified, reality is that he performed worse than Button in 2011.

Kimi is back. From the few public appearance he seems to be more level-headed than before. Hopefully, his WRC experience taught him that he belongs to F1 and should treasure his driver seat here. Overall, I believe he is going to make a strong comeback and will make for an exciting 2012 season. If there is anyone that can challenge Vettel for speed it would be Kimi. Finn vs German... Y'know like Schumacher vs. Hakkinen.

Unfortunately and as quick as Kimi is/was, I don't think the Lotus is going to pose any kind of threat to the Red Bull.

You could say this about a number of drivers though!

I think he means, if everyone was in equal cars. As in, even in situations like 07/08 with fairly evenly matched cars, Vettel will come out on top

I'm pretty sure that's directly contradicted by "and no one else does".

I dont know why, but i read that as "no one else does like 2011" as in no one ellse has a dominant car earlier on, though I've just reread and you're right.

I thought initially that he meant if Vettel has a year like 07/08 as opposed to being in McLaren's situation in 2011 (winning car, but they were never going to win the title)

With evenly matched cars (Red Bull/Mclaren/Ferrari) I'd say it would be very close between Vettel, Alonso and Hamilton.

If Hamilton has already resolved his issues (I'm not saying he hasn't; nor am I saying he won't) and is back to his magnificent 2007/2010 self then yes, I completely agree. If not, I can see the same picture sans Hamilton.

On a sidenote; if Hamilton's car numbers from 2009 to 2012 are anything to go by (1, 2, 3, 4) then in 2013 he could go on to become the new Red 5
