But when things aren't going as well, you'd see Schumacher or Alonso or (late 2010-on) Vettel get themselves together, analyse what's wrong, learn and come out stronger to improve. Hamilton's response seems to be frustration and crashing into people because of that.
Crashing into people such as who? -Don't answer because the race threads are already over ridden with arguments on Hamilton incidents.
All I have to say to that is that Hamilton is the best forumula 1 overtaker on the PLANET, he's knows what he is doing - A master. The unfortunate part of overtaking is when the other guy doesn't know how to be overtaken - or simply blocks the overtake.
Call me crazy but Hamilton is
THE Authority on how to do an overtake. If he says the overtake is possible it is. If he says he screwed up he screwed up. But 99.99% of his contacts overtaking other drivers have been not to an error in the overtaking maneuver but to misunderstanding of the guy being overtaken.
One second slower car.. watch this.. A man like this obviously knows what he is doing when it comes to positioning the car on the road
and positioning other drivers car by force. Masterful.

And anyways.. I still don't see how being a fair weather driver relates to this. The doldrums of 2009 are a good example of a WC caliber driver in a dog of a car.
