Where they in 'sixes'?

The Chinese ones that have been a problem always come in sixes. It actually makes them quite easy to spot.

It's not spam-related, but, is it just me or have the very tech-oriented members left?

Did the charlatans - like me, I admit it - finally run them off for good?

We are still getting SPAM coming through. Perhaps we could use the SPAM notices of members to suppress further SPAM from new accounts:

If a members sends a Spam notice to the moderators it could execute an automatic check if the spamming account is new. If it is, it could provisionally block the new account until a moderator has checked the issue.

I believe that most SPAM is notified to the moderators within seconds or minutes of being posted. Such an automatic block would prevent many spammers from posting multiple threads.

Something new around here... Contend based SPAM -.-
Now they are spamming with so called "free" live stream links for malaysia gp.

None of them are free, it also is not right to open 5 threads to advertise them.
I reported as much as I could...

Sorry for the enormous amount of spam guys.
In fact the spammers grinded the server to a halt, overloading it completely.

Current spamusers were deleted, and the spamfilter has been adjusted to catch all live stream posts as well.

You're doing as well as can be expected against a nameless faceless army of a@s holes.

My computer is apart right now and moderating posts from an
iPhone in a basement with intermittent 3G data connection weren't doing me any favors.

I think I broke a record assembling a PC from scratch.

25 minutes, MOBO, CPU, PSU, RAM, SSD, and 2 HD's in RAID.
