Re: Introduce yourself here

Hey guys. My name's Jack, as my username suggests. I've been browsing the forums for a few years now and I figured it was probably time I signed up! I'm a big Formula One fan but I'm also interested in many other motorsports, namely MotoGP and my country's own, V8 Supercars. That's about it, I guess, just wanted to say hi!

Hello, and welcome ! Hope you enjoy your time here. Apologies in advance if I've forgotten anyone

Hey! I'm a 28 yr old long term F1 fan from India. I'm a self employed writer and freelance Asst Director.

I've been following F1 as long as I can remember... all those weekends catching qualifying and raceday... Those were the days.

It's great to be able to discuss something you avidly follow with like-minded fans and so I joined the forum after being a longtime lurker.

It's great to meet everybody.

Hi guys, i've been reading this forum for a while: it's great, that's why i've finally decided to subscribe (and because i'd like to have your opinion about my 3d model  )
I'm a student living in Monza (yeah that one  ) therefore i'm quite obviously a Ferrari fan
F1 is not my only interest but i love it, i love when the Ferraris win, but i love it even more when Hermann Tilke shows us his latest masterpiece or when a new GP is announced in another contry with an absolute monarchy...
Anyway, see you!

Hello Everyone :)

My name is Carl, and there is a heavy clue to my occupation in my name.

Have worked on the Microprose series of GP games, specifically GP3 and 4. I'm a 3D Graphics Artist of 15 years experience, with 10 years of engineering before that.....and it was pretty much my fault that your machines all ground to a hault when you first tried to run GP4s Monaco. (Those recomended minimum specs were a joke eh? lol)

I no longer work in the games industry, but I still make simulator content for "motorsport", the top World and US series of motorsport events, but I can't give too many specifics as I am sure you will understand.

I'm a refugee from the Autosport forums, from which I was banned this week over looking at the similarities between human rights abuses in China and Bahrain. Had been a member for some time, but as I don't really follow any particual teams or drivers, and I'm more interested in the cars and tracks, it is no great loss, this seemed a perfect place to get shipwrecked.

I've heard there is much less "fanboyism" here, which would suit me perfect as I have great respects for ANYONE who makes it to forumla 1....and I cant believe that one person can be a driving god, and the next man is a neandethal cave dweller who should not be near a car, as some fans try to say is the difference between their favorite and the guy who came in second.

Looking forward to reading, learning and sometimes contributing.

Cheers

Hi I'm cheapracer although many call me "cheapy".

I'm developing a line of my own self designed, prototyped and produced sports track day cars for release this year but I'm not here for commercial reasons.

I was a member of another forum for 10 years but it has fallen by cause of poor Moderation to extreme levels of fanboy'ism, flooding and spamming that I don't see here thankfully. My contempt for the place was seeping through and eventually I started a parody thread of a fanboy thread - the humour wasn't appreciated apparently

So for a fresh start, might catch you in the tech threads where I tend to hang out 90% of the time ..

Hi I'm mzivtins.

Can anyone get me a look at some F1 style datawarehousing?
