McLaren knew the rules and they were too smart for their own good. I'm glad the FIA did not accept McLaren's interpretation of force majeure. They were right to be penalized. I pity hamilton, he drove his heart out to qualify the car on pole.
You might to get your life back in order. We are talking about a sport not the Nuremberg trials...
You sound like one of those stereotypical emotionless McLaren personnel.

But, thank you for your advice.

The fueling issues or lack of was a mistake, but McLaren knew before Lewis set his lap. They could've brought him in but they took a chance and went for it. Now they pay the price.

McLaren have fired the guy/he left and others have left the team. Here's the guy who was fired from McLaren --> @CraigLongdon_F1

SV shouldn't have knowingly used the escape road in contravention of the rules in my previous example but he got away with it. Ferrari shouldn't have used team orders in Hockenheim but again effectively got away with it. Etc.

Yeah they could have pulled him in but the teams shouldn't have to be so fearful of the stewards and FIA that they have to make such a difficult decision and pull out from setting a time for fear of later punishment for a simple mistake. It's bad enough that only 6/7 drivers set proper times in Q3 (I don't really consider Rosbergs attempt to be a proper run) with only Hamilton bothering to do the usual two runs without punishing the team unnecessarily for actually trying. What would have been wrong with simply eliminating the final run from the times and starting him 6th? Why specifically do you think the punishment is proportional to the crime ?

so just seen an interview with titmarsh that they knew he didn't have enough fuel on board. Was Hamilton not the last over the line? so they knew they could abort the lap and take sixth. Bring Ron back....

Appears to be more of a failure in management, which should mean that measures to put matters right exert effect on the pit-wall and maybe even back to 'Mission Control' where much oversight is reputed. Leaders are responsible for shaping morale, but starting with positives like, "Jenson was extremely quick yesterday and Lewis extremely quick today.", is to sort of gloss over the point of management failure.

Latest Twitter view:

McLaren boss M Whitmarsh tells #skyf1 no-one has left team after fuelling mistake and Lewis is 'ok' today. More when we go on air at 1130.

Was the guy who handled the fuel nozzle in the pits fired?

If so , will a driver be fired if he makes a mistake , runs off the track and into the barriers, also be fired -

Making sure fuel goes into the car and not out is not the same as pushing a car to the limits and crashing.

I'm not sure anyone was fired. I think the guy I mentioned earlier is a fake. I apologize for adding to his obvious hoax. Former McLaren Race Mechanic Marc Priestley(1999-2009) says the guys name doesn't show up on the company intranet. So he's probably a fake.
