Hi guys
I had a few questions regarding a Formula 1 engine control system. From what I have read, the throttle pedal is an electronic input. My question was regarding the input and the output variables involved in the control system. When a particular throttle position is applied what is the variable that needs to be controlled, what is the variable that is changed by the system and what are the rules of the decision?
I would be happy to know the step by step process involved in this.
The second question was how does the process change when a gear shift demand is given by the driver. Also is the throttle valve controlled independent of the applied throttle position?
