surprise surprise ..there is no surprise.
sauber are definetly making more use of the cars potential when Mercedes is vowing to come back next race big tme which never materialises ..
The car was in no ways more suited to Hockenheim than it was to Silverstone methinks .
The whole idea of the car being competitive but needs tyre understanding is more a theme of the car needs development in tyre exploitation..obviously they lack racepace OVER a stint and over race distance....on average that´s .4s per lap ...so a big update is exactly what would and should help at this time of year ..see Mclaren.

Yes they need big updates, now. Forget trying to understand the tyres - nobody does! That's why they're all trying to gain as much rear DF as possible. Look at McLaren: they brought in a chunk of updates and were challenging for the win today. Surely Merc need to look at exhausts as a possible way to gain performance?

Was it on German tv marcush? Or an online article you could link us to?
More could have been done.

Of course the kings can't sort it out alone, that is pretty evident by now.

Finally no excuses; the truth. =D>
Well they said nothing, only the Headline did.
The only thing they said was: "That shows we need to find more pace from the car."
And lets be honest, everybody needs (and most of them will) find more pace from the car each race, look at Ferrari after the start of the season.

It was an German TV, Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg were totally excited about a new Head-Aerodynamic-Guy. But no names were said.
This is a little bit confusing, I mean, Costa has aerodynamic experiance, Willis is an aerodynamic engineer. And John Owen were the Head of Aerodynamic. Now there will be a new guy, maybe the ex Toro Rosso man, Ascanelli?

the true picture of the car's performance was shown in the very race after just 2 laps when Schumi consistently was failing behind Vettel. They are rubbish!

Yepp, also on his last Stint on brand new Softs, he could only manage to squeeze 4(?) fast laps out of them, after that he was as fast as Perez on his used Mediums, seems that the Mercedes is only good for Qualy, the race has simply to much laps for them :(

Who cares who he is - what matters most is the impact said person makes!

Ferrari always had the downforce, it was a pig to drive.

my take on it:
The team is trying things that do not pan out really -3 stops when everyone else is doing 2 for example...I looked like they were hoping on all in front suffering from massive tyre degradation -but this did not happen at all.
The question here is ...why put both cars on a three stopper ? for Nico it was a possibility but why stop short with the primes? it made all the work useless really.
Also Michael ..if you intend to do a three stopper anyways the first stint was just too long ..he tried to squeeze life out of them that was not in them ..he knew ..Button overtook and disappeared...A clear sign to dive into the pits and try something else..No?

I think we can conclude there are holes in this team: not just in the design, but at the pit wall too. These flaws have been realised since 2010.

it´s really coming as a surprise .The team has really big names on offer with jock clear ,Shovlin,Tony Ross ,Brawn himself one would imagine these have enough experience and wit and imagination to come up with impressive strategy decisions...but that never really happened in all those years .They shy away from using primes in the first stint ...and they have questionable startegies in Qualifying bringing their drivers under threat to not make it into Q3 or sometimes even into Q2 for no obvious reason.
