Not just near - exactly on race day in fact - 29th July! :)

I will give the advantage to Mclaren here. They looked the fastest in Germany.

My guess will be

1) Hamilton
2) Alonso
3) Vettel
4) Button
5) Webber
6) Raikonnen

Hamilton will dominate. If it´s a dry weekend.

I predict a battle beetween the Mclarens and The Red Bulls
Mercedes maybe can hope for a pole but in race they will struggle.
And Of course Alonso who became the MAN to beat

I say it will be a battle between Alonso, HAM , Vettel, the Lotii and the Sauber's (when starting inside the top10). MAL could be quick there too.

This track doesn't place too much emphasis on corner exit, it's the front end, and the balance that needs to be perfect. The Red Bulls don't have the out and out downforce advantage that they had previously. McLaren will be very strong here, and with their new upgrades you can't count them out of the championship. I don't know how this race is going to pan out, but if it's all dry, then expect one of the McLaren's on the front row.

Qualifying top 5:

1. Alonso
2. Button
3. Hamilton
4. Raikkonen
5. Vettel

Race:

1. Alonso
2. Button
3. Raikkonen
4. Vettel
5. Hamilton (the drop to 5th could be attributed to his poor starts off the line/anti stall).
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

Vettel features in your Race top 5 prediction!? :o That's got to be a first. He generally doesn't even make the Top 10 in your lists IIRC

I'm sure Maldonado will be quick. He has been all year, but that's never been in doubt. He, unfortunately, has significant issues with his judgment.

Aren't you an Alonso fan, buddy? :)

Rather brave to bet on Hamilton as dominating, but let's see, I don't discard anything. For sure it will be dry and hot - the top battles are not going to be different. The engine maps (RBR) saga isn't over, too.
