I'm not so sure. He looks incredibly strong on the prime tyres, but doesn't seem to have quite the same advantage in qualifying trim. Definitely in with a great shot at pole.

On a side note I hope the stewards are watching for cars running wide in the corners. Some are running completely off track lap after lap.

Both Mercs will struggle to make Q3 on their current form.

I don't agree it seems like they are running on high fuel

Hungary the same as Monaco without the guardrails..
It´s not comparable at all .
Completely different set of skills or approach is necessary when you have to make sure to NOT touch anything in Monaco you just open the steering and drive off the track here .Monaco in F1 is ONLY blind corners ,never see the exit of the corner when Hungary is showing everything on a plate..
Hungary does not have those really tight corners and it looks like the tarmac is a lot different as well.so where are the similarities? average speed ? number of laps?

It looks like they will also struggle to make Q2 as well, complete loser team....

And on top of this we will probably hear more BS from Ross.

The Pole will be between Alonso , Hamilton & both of the Red bulls ( And Maybe Kimi he looked strong all the weekend but as we said A front or second row may be enough for an eventual win)
Great Effort By Hamilton btw :D
Knowing that the difference between the two compounds is 8 tenths and taking LH's Time on hards ( 1.21.7) , the pole should ( In Theory ) be around 1.20.9 or 1.21.1

Ferrari really don't loook that strong in the dry.
FACT: Their last qualifying in the dry was P11.
And then they went on to win the race

The only remote hope is they know what laptime they can do and they had little bit more fuel on board.

Mercedes look to be running tyre comparisons. Costa in the pits before the 4 week break tells you something.
I'm not expecting a stellar Mercedes performance, but I expect them to make Q3.
More could have been done.

With such a high probability for rain during the race 100% last time I checked Mercedes can afford to gamble with a wet setup and still have form with their DDRS. Unless someone else takes the gamble on the rear wing (which takes balls because grid position is critical at this track) I could see Mercedes shock the hell out of the field

Norby just admitted on RTL live on air that Mercedes will struggle in Qualy as their whole emphasis was on making the tyres survive in the race.. :wtf: :wtf:
So in effect they have sacrificed all the little speed they had to be able to run on the same strategy than all the other competitors...so start 17/18 gain 4 spots in the first lap and try to luck into a 9/10th final position ? What a bold strategy...
