obviously this track does emphasisze the good points of the car ---weird china -Monaco and Monza who thought of these suiting the same base car And only these three ....

There is a pattern
Monaco needs lots of stable braking and great traction out of corner....so does Monza and China
and another the car is slippery as hell in a straight line so they had advatage in Monza and China
therefore in Monaco they could run lots of wing and still be on par with others as drag doesnot matter in Monaco like other tracks

What are you guys smoking anyway, Monza is an xtreme powertrack, that's all there's to it, but beaten by an FI....giggle!

yeah right, thats why Vettel won last year and with the same engine this year he barely got into Q3.
You need power alright, but traction and riding curbs are equally important.

Are FI going to beat the Merc in the race? Can't see it happening.

Thus being quick in qualifying and not being able to back it up in the race, is a useless exercise and not a point worth making on your behalf.

well it happened just one week ago ...Hulk also drives for FI...and he was fourth...so in fact Mercedes "works" plays not only second but actually third fiddle to their customer teams min qualy....
Hopefully they can bank on their phenomenal tyre understanding and conserve them to last not only the monza race but do an eco run next race recycling these longlife components.

btw..7:6 in qualy for MS vs Britney...surprise surprise Rosbergs qualy advantage has evaporated and he has difficulty to beat ms more often than not.

They don't award points on Saturday, but with Pirelli predicting one-stop strategies, we've seen a reasonable indication of the results tomorrow. Though, obviously, surprises lurk.

I was watching the recording of the DTM race from Zandvoort this morning before work.

It was funny listening to the announcer say how the F1 tires fall of a cliff because of the intentional design, while the Hankook tires used in the DTM last a bit longer, and don't see that cliff drop F1 has.

BECAUSE AFTER ALL IF IT PROMOTES OVERTAKING IT MUST BE GREAT FOR F1.

Guess the FIA decided that since the F1 IPO is not happening, Pirelli can increase tire longevity for the races now.

this is the 1 track which suits merc the best, and they are falling backwards.

tires problems forced them to do 2 stops today....... with 1 stop Micheal can finish in top4 like Perez.....

Good performance by the team this weekend. Cars had the pace, and Rosberg set fastest lap at the end.
Schumacher taking the Red Bull's was a highlight. 2 stop was the only option for this team given the performance drop they suffered with tyre wear/deg.
