seems like its a done deal then.

i cannot believe it. it will be BS if schumacher leaves, mercedes produce a good car for 2013 after putting all the resources in place, and hamilton wins.

i just cannot believe schumacher is being pushed out again, in this manner, when he can clearly still deliver, and his racecraft is frankly better than anyones on the grid.

utterly depressing.
Nothing's been confirmed yet.

oh ...schumi knew about it before....and told us he will dcide in october....
so maybe the deal was:if schumi is constantly outperforming Nico has to go ?

anyways we have another reason for the lack of development:in a small random sentence we hear MGP now finally has geared up to 60% model size...
One year late compared to lotus ...who made a significant steptill then.
I´d guess the other teams using 60%models are Sauber ,Mclaren and Ferrari?

errm not to farget RedBullTechnologies..

I have always wondered, why don't teams use 70% or even 100% models?

Have we seen the last of PURE...or will MrT make the unthinkable occur, and somehow get them to the starting grid whenever those turbo engines get here...if in fact they ever do get here?
Going off-topic a bit, it seems we were all wrong about PURE, and most of all myself, in that it was just an EU-financed xercise disguised as a development of alternative means of propulsion. Now the money is all gone, where you might ask.

As french as it could have been.
Quite shocking.

Waste in the European Union.

I wonder if anyone really wants to know where the missing money is?

Here's an interesting thought for 2013...

Could we see a modern day version of the McLaren team in 1984 with Mercedes?

You have the aging driver looking at one last chance to recapture past glory, and you have the younger teammate who while having had success, hasn't quite learned how to drive smart fully.

Schumacher/Hamilton would be eerily similar to Lauda/Prost.

Truthfully I would dump Nico were I the one making these decisions. Keep the proven commodities if you ask me.

Now if this is true that Hamilton is leaving his McLaren incubator after six seasons, I wonder what the Hutt has tempted him with, xcept a shitload of money of course? And how did the Hutt talk DrZ into continuing this spending frenzy?

Followed up by the deep bellied laughter of the Hutt....

Ho-ho-ho

Perhaps Hamilton has been promised partial ownership, and the chance to keep the real trophies when he wins?

All I know is, that if this does in fact to be a real deal, perhaps Ron the Con will start looking for a new engine supplier as his revenge...?

If he goes there, his career will go down the drain much the same way Villeneuve's did. Arguably Lewis has more talent than him, but even Senna, Fangio, Prost and Schumacher all in their primes couldn't turn Mgp into winners. The team just can't cut it. It's always been the case in Bar and then later Honda days. And as you very well know, one swallow does not make a summer (2009). Button ran away from this very team at the first opportunity, it'll be a disaster if Hamilton picks them.

Do they even have half the budget McLaren have ?

Hamilton and Schumacher would be a marketing masterpiece!

Zetsche forking out 20 or 30 mill€ per year for Hamilton these days? I don´t think so.So the question is who is paying that one...plus paying off rosberg ....or would Schumi drive unpaid?...
Dai thes days needs to make the shareholders happy and cannot afford to throw away money in public ...and at the same time reduce cost at any price in other areas.so they expect a big pr masterstroke if all that rumour has substance..
don´t get me wrong but who would ask for Rosberg if you want to sell a barn for the price of a castle?
A Schumacher /Hamilton combo has definetely value ,especially with the world outside of Germany still having issues with too much teutonic apearance...
Rosberg would be happy to move to Macs methinks......so he would not be too hard to persuade...but from where does the moneys come? maybe BRAWN has to open the wallet for underachieving? :wtf: :wtf:
