Do you have proof of this? If not, stop reporting it as if it is a fact.
what proof you need? why do you think he said "i didn't take any decision?" If you belive that means you are naive. He didn't want to put pressure on Mercedes ! they need time to choose next driver but yes keep lie yourself :D
He hasn't taken a decision as he's presumably seeing if Mercedes GP has development potential (Singapore GP). Which is a much more plausible theory than he is retiring already. No?

The only one lying to yourself, is you: no decision has been made. Go spread the BS elsewhere (or the appropriate thread: Silly season).

We as fans for one don't deserve this. Just imagine his constant bitching and moaning if Mercedes fails to deliver a winning car which is the most probable scenario. Or the whole parade of "stars" through the garage every weekend, or Nicole Sch-whatever-her-name-is-ger smiling at the camera without even understanding what a racing car is, let alone terminology like DRS or "shark fin", or the stupid tweets that eventually will come once Lewis realizes that his mechanics are clowns flown in from a circus. Then the dad, don't forget the dad and the interviews etc. Jesus, now I'm the one bitching...

My sentiments precisely diego, if the W04 is not an instant winner, the Hamilton-clan will be a handful for the Hutt.

X, it would be funny to watch though, wouldn't it? If 2013 car is not a winner I can see the team becoming "AMG" and funded as a separate entity from the AMG sales only. Thank God that at least they built a new simulator and updated their scale model before the money supply is cut off by whoever replaces Dr.Z. Ham's reaction would be priceless if they told him that he ha s to take a pay-cut due to the team tightening it's budget.

Mika1, no I am not satisfied because Hamilton comes with a lot of "baggage". He may be extremely talented but deep down he is a spoiled teenager, always whining just to get his own way. In addition, patience is a word he is not familiar with or hard work. Afterall, if his arrival signals MSC's retirement, then no thanks. If it's Nico who gets the boot then fine by me, he won't be missed after all. Hamilton will make a nice pair with MSC and will benefit from his knowledge, experience and ability to handle incompetent mechanics or designers in a period of time. Maybe MSC will teach him how to become more professional, set goals that have to be met with a deadline etc.

I think Ross Brawn will teach Hamilton that. A perfect couple, fast and patient. Moreover, Mercedes AMG could be a good choice with new regulations coming in 2014.

"As for Brawn's point of view, the Mail says he views Hamilton as the "final piece of the jigsaw" needed to put Mercedes at the front of the pack."

That's almost hysterical, Ross' jigzaw included himself, a factory engine, three or four TDs, a 7-time WDC and a single-WDC?

You want fries with that?

MS cannot mix with the top anymore but he wants really badly to feel the glory one more time so he can retire with all the credit he is due. Its time for him to go and he knows it that makes all the better for me. I hope he can at least achieve another podium but I dont think he can win a race, its not impossible but very unlikely. It would be like Jack Nicklaus winning the 1986 Masters. Oh what a great day that was.

Doubt it, Hamilton wont be looking to be straightened out by Merc, if he leaves McL it will be for more freedom not less.

I think MSC wants a 2 year deal (1+1) to see if 2013 car would be good to be a good base for new 2014 rules, or he wants to see if Brawn would do the same trick he did with the new rules in 2009.

Totally agreed with Ferraripilot. It is very difficult to judge a driver if he is not finishing races isn't it? I guess every ones entitled to their opinions though. If MSC retires next season, it would contradict his statement which he made in an interview to BBC in 2010. He said he was coming back to win. Has he achieved what he came back for.......NO..........so to retire when things might fall in place with the team would be questionable. Age is not a barrier as he is 43 now so another season takes him to 44. Had he lost his abilities he would not have come 5th from the back of grid in spa 2011. The truth is 2010 MSC was rusty, 2011 he started getting back there and 2012 is when he has started delivering. I saw some one questioning his podium finish this year........yes it was lucky (Ham-Mald incident) but dont you think he was due for it after so many retirements he has had this season. Also you need to be in the right place for the luck to favour you.
Hope he stays for 1 more year to win some races before stopping for good [-o<

Lol @ all this podium gifted luck, tell me: how many others were fortunate to gain a podium position as a result of MSC retiring from the race/penalty? If you qualify on pole at Monaco you're pretty much guaranteed the win - all cars are geared towards qualifying.

Can someone tell me how Hamilton is going to make a difference when Ross the Toss, the three kings, Elliot Ness, Norby the Hutt, DrZ, and the Daimler board have been unable to make any impact?

Since the W04 is going to be an evolution of the W03 due to the stagnant rule book, what exactly is this team planning on doing for 2013?

Are they hoping that the more stagnant the rulebook gets, somehow it will allow them to gain wins through a war of attrition rather than any real design accomplishments?

Does this team even have a real plan for 2013...? Or are they just going to sit around on their asses staring at the monitors debating whether they should leave the pits to go look at the Italian Stallion's new F12?
