God, this is turning into a fanboy topic, on the one hand users mocking and laughing with Michael's "mistake" and on the other Michael fans starting to annoy with angry posts, speculations, theories and all.

I too would hope that it is a mechanical failure but to turn a respectable topic into...this, is too much, even for me.

PS: Was that Ross Brawn on the radio or a mechanic from his side of the garage? Maybe this mistake pushes Michael further into considering to retire again. Will we have to wait for Wednesday to find out?

10 place grid penalty apparently. Sounds a bit harsh given it is questionable whether it is a mechanical error.
When Petrov did the same thing to Schumacher at Korea last year it was only a 5 place grid drop.

Huge shame, with echoes of Barcelona-Monaco - Suzuka is a schumacher specialty track.

aparently michael addmited to the stewards it was his fauly and the reason for it was cold tyres and not the level of grip expected.

the stewards took into acount a similar accident had already happened this year...

the circumstances werent exactly the same though were they....

he will probably get pole at suzuka and we get robbed of another win

Yeah, 10 place is a bit harsh I think too.

But We have to move on now and look for the next race where hopefully Merc can take another step forward and Michael can recover from 14-16th place!
