Probably the fastest left hander in F1. Wouldn't a slower car be "Aero-limited" ?

130R is flat IF you have the aerodynamic grip and stability to take it flat.
W03 has good traction out of slow corners but spoon is not slow and you need good aero and stability going in.
They don;t look very stable through the medium and high speed corners.
Look at Monza how they lost ground into and out of Parabolica

Agreed. But I don't think the W03 would be so unstable as to not be able to take it flat. If you had say, a FIAT Punto then it might not be flat. But last year's Hispania took 130R flat, on prime tyres, with DRS open. So don't tell me a Merc can't take it flat.

But I can't see the Mercedes competing with McLaren and RedBull
Could you elaborate on this?

130R is flat.
Yes, but speed through 130 is traction limited by how well you exit Spoon.
Not really. F1 cars have no problems hitting their top speed or close to it there.

They hit 7th gear before (or on) the uphill section. Depending on gearing.

I´d say 130R is flat in any F1 car today regardless of fuel load except for maybe lap 1.

Blanchimont and 130R isn´t that much different to each other.
It´s slightly more bent but it´s no problem for todays F1 cars.

Heh, my hope is specifically that they dial in their new exhaust, the Lotus L-Duct, and further workout the aero in the rear to give them enough overall race speed to fight at the front a'la monaco.

So team MGP can look forward to 2013 -hopefully the joy will not blurr their view when preparing the cars for the remaining races ...
I have the feeling Schumacher will wipe the floor with Rosberg in the upcoming races -well Suzuka was never really a place to shine for Nico anyways Did he ever get into the points there?
As Schumacher also loves USA I´m expecting fireworks there for reasons i don´t really know.I don´t expect the car to be strong enough to even get a podium unfortunatelly..So only rain could help there ...raindancers anyone?
I wonder how rosberg will get along Hamilton within the same team ..Sure Hamilton is not as nice as Schumacher especially when things are not really going according to plan ...and when does things pan out iás intended in F1 and even more so with MGP..

Hamilton will push MGP to deliver. After he heard Ferrari would introduce a new package, he informed McLaren to do the same.

somehow Hamilton AND Alonso failed to deliver with their approach in recent years..Vettel and Webber seemed to be quite quiet in public and elsewhere when it came to pushing the team ...same with Button .so it was 2008 when last time a pushy driver got the team to deliver?
How can a driver push a team for updates? The only way a driver can contribute is revealing the weaknesses of the current package in a productive way -eg helping the team to find the correct direction to develop.
Sure a driver who extrcts all that´s in the package and a bit more will motivate the guys behind the wall to do better ,but my personal feeling is :only drivers who don´t try and those who try under the wrong circumstances (free practise sessions )
are not so popular with mechanics.
If Hamiltons motivation will filter down to the guys at the drawing boards(!) or at the 5axis cnc machines is doubtful...but then at least all are brits now..(including britney...)

I'm sure Hamilton's motivation will be high. If rumours of what really drove the switch are true then I'm sure Bernie will be playing a hand in a little hero creation..

German source explaining the role of Niki Lauda as non executive director at Mercedes and his role in the Concord negotiations.

It will be interesting to see what kind of an impact this new arrangement will have on people and processes at the team.

A complete nonsense.MGP of course has a board at least since AAbar and MGP took over parts of BrawnGP.After Brawn and Fry were bought out they had to resign from the board as well so since then the role of CEO (Fry) is separated from the board -a very normal action these days.
Laudas official job description is non-exec member of the board (chairman) as I understand .So he has a controlling only task -he has to sign the cheques and release the budgets ?

But then? he walks into MGP and states after one day the facility is state of the art it´s only the people and people management lacking.
I wonder how this could slip away from the 4 Kings so far...the guy is a complete bastard having no clue whatsoever rushing in stirring up the mud and leaving..he already said he was not prepared to invest time into all this BUT then puts himself in a position to decide what to change ....oh btw ...Lauda has already joined so i look forward to hear about his first actions
maybe he has new ideas in terms of strategies ,development and car maintainance as well?
