Horrible :x . i guess lewis is in for a big shock in the coming seasons. China was flash in a pan. What i fail to understand is that Ferrari and Mercedes are both financial power houses still the later has been unable to develop a consistently performing car. Ferrari were nowhere when the season began but are still on their way to win the drivers championship. What else can i say, its all well documented after every weekends interview of ross brawn " we are still developing, understanding etc".....
If someone gave you a 100 million dollars to create a car on your own, that wouldn't automatically mean you were able to produce a decent/winning car.

Money can't just make people more intelligent.

Also the team still has the same hundreds of employees there, doing all of the dirty work. If they haven't been able to produce the goods in 2 and a half years... or more! What is to say anything will change in the future.

Even considering it´s pr blabla -does nobody at least take a look over what oficial statements are provided to the press?

golden moments- our progress is shaded by the progress others have made.. (others ideas work, ours don't)

we have learned a lot and know about our weaknesses......(We failed so we know why we did not succeed, but we still don't know to succeed, more especially, we're shyte)

our car has not performed to our liking on one or two tracks... (When we do well, we open the bubbly, but we've not cottoned onto what makes us do well yet, we're shyte)

I think Mercedes should stop polishing a turd. In 2014 they're going to two field two turds, engine and chassis.

Come on FIA, ease up these rules, get Cosworth backin the game. We need cheap powerful engines without all the corporate BS.

I may be wrong but my own observations are that the current engine could not hold at 19 000 rpm and above and the rev limit really saved them in two ways - competitors had to take a step back and lose their advantage and at the same time Mercedes engine had better torque characteristics at lower revs.

how lucky is Rosberg ... he was P15 but tomorrow he will start P13 (i don't know why Hulk didn't set 1 lap time :wtf:) In these conditions will be fantastic if Michael can score 1 point.

What's up with everyone suddenly fearing that Michael is "gonna go the same way as Senna"? Now supposedly Bernie said that it is a wrong decision to wait until after the 6 races to retire, that Michael should go now after the FP incident. Jesus, does anyone ever watch Q and R? The guy can obviously still take on the younger generation, as he did with Rosberg in qualifying yet again. He is not a time bomb, but accidents happen when you tend to overdrive the car instead of cruising in midfield. Schumi is just fine, better than fine actually.

Exactly ... period.

Kimi should also retire then, he made a mistake in Q too today

Oh and Rosberg as well, if he can't keep up with the old guy, who according to Lauda hasn't got the speed of the young guys anymore.

I don't understand why anyone would worry about Schumacher's legacy? These last few years have confirmed what many believed to be true. There is nothing he can do to change minds.

The last chapter of Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren career has not started well, according to a report in the The Independent newspaper.

The report cites McLaren insiders as claiming that the Briton has taken a “newfound interest” in the technical details of his 2012 McLaren now that he has decided to jump ship to Mercedes next year.

“He’s been very interested in the exhaust system and the telemetry,” a team insider is quoted as saying.

And Hamilton told reporters on Thursday that he knows all about McLaren’s plans for the 2013 single seater that he will never drive.

“Trust me, it will be a good car next year, I know,” he smiled to his replacement, Sergio Perez, at Suzuka. “I know exactly what’s going on next year with your car.”

Team boss Martin Whitmarsh said that he is not worried.

“I think if I was pursuing intellectual property from other teams, I’d probably go for engineers not drivers,” he said. “But I think Lewis is respectful of the team and what it’s doing.”
Just how much intel can a driver bring to a new team that can actually be useful? Another "Spygate" unfolding here, Mercedes will be more than happy to know something about the Coanda exhausts.
Forza Michael. Forza Jules
