I think Brawn should be kicked out or the person who took the decision to stop all In-Season Development to understand Tyres while all teams were putting Huge Resources on Developement + Tyes, Brawn was chasing a mirage. Year after year there has been pathetic decisions from the management. Brawn has to take responsibility and quit.

Maybe Lauda is now there in position to be brawn's successor if next year will be the same?

Brawn the con will go on. He'll say Lauda is too old & stuff & then again he will blame something else. Fixed Weight Distribution really hurt us, tyres got squared than last year, tyres degrade exponentially on our car, our car does not like rubber or some s***.

And then he'll say with 2014 New Engine we'll surely win. Then when they wont, he will say hamilton is hot headed & Nico is slow & then will try to lure Sebastian Vettel. If he could lure MSC & Ham maybe Seb will join too. Again he will loose and say our Engine has too much HP but no Driveability,chews tyres and so on.

Brawn is a Master Con. I doubt Lauda can do anything. Lauda is an old man who speaks stupid. He'll probably be bed ridden after a couple of years. Noway Merc would look up to Lauda to carry their team

Rosberg happens to now what happened to Michael in the first part of the season but at that moment w03 will fight for win.... now w03 fight for P10

edit: btw this car can't maintain pace with Sauber in this race ... after 2 laps Michael is 2 sec behind Perez. and also Toro Rosso looks fast maybe because they start on softs and first 10 are on used ss

This team is a disaster. Hamilton's career is effectively over. Nico's got over before it could really took off. This team is a killer of careers.

There are light years behind in Development. Look at the Red Bull Car and the Development and look at Mercedes.

Toro Rosso - 9 & 10
Lotus - 5 & 7/8

All Quicker than Mercedes. And Perez will pass MSC soon & show Sauber is quicker. MClaren,Ferrari,RBR are much quicker.

Now what is left?? Williams?? Who also sometimes beat Mercedes...

Actually, thinking about it more, I feel sorry for them. So much money and "effort" have been put and its not ticking. Brawn must be feeling really bad at the moment. It feels awful to be falling behind and failing to figure out what to do. In the end Brawn is delivering what he was delivering with BAR (except for the last season who saw him winning with BrawnGP) but overall its not working for him. He used to think only strategy with Ferrari and probably its his main strength but not his current position.

Mercedes needs something to spark their chances. I think the drivers are on a top level which makes me think that adding Hammi to the mix would not improve the team. Some new mentality with the development is needed.

I think this team is affected more than most by uneven overheating of tyres. Even when it was Brawn in 2009 it went through a phase of not understanding the tyres and failing to make all four tyres operate in the correct temperature range. It seems to be an area of weakness for this team.

Head of Aerodynamics Loïc Bigois left in June, Mercedes have not introduced significant developments since he left except a copied exhaust that doesn't work and a few minor tweaks. I don't know who has replaced him? but I think his loss is a good very good thing, before he was at Brackley he was fired from Williams, and before then he was at Prost which kind of says it all really.

I think Mercedes have been concentrating on next year for a while now, let's see what happens.

I think Merdedes next year will fight with Carteham & Marussia. Even their in-season development is better than Mercedes.

Force India & Toro Rosso,look at them. Do they even have a Proper Wind-tunnel??? Or Huge Money??? I see all BS being sold here. This team is just pathetic. FI & STR can out-develop them.

Look at Ross again. This guy is a serial cheater and lier. He says the tyre was not up to temperature. Earlier it was Tyre degrades in too hot. This was not even too cold. It was normal,China like temperature and Mercedes is supposed to do well in this tyre range. Also with the new Coanda heating the tyres this whole tyre is not up to temperature sounds BS.

Mercedes can never win unless they dump half the pathetic Brackley engineers who ate Huge HONDA money & did 0. And THEY HAVE TO DUMP ROSS BRAWN. He is a lier,serial cheater and is again conning. His excuses never end. He will never accept that the car is SLOW and he and the team has failed. It will some other BS excuse again.

If the Team Principal does all this BS and encourages mediocrity and worthlessness what message do you want to percolate down to the grass-roots??? Brawn symbolises everything rubbish about Mercedes.

On another note Bell has failed too,no major success last year,fighting with Force India. Rubbish Car this year. Willis-Costa have failed & given 0 to In-Season Development. Maybe its time to dump all these guys, all thrown away pieces.

Go for the likes of James Key.

One should not listen to what people inside of MGP say on the record as it is usually total crap and exactly the opposite of reality.

so this circuit did not suit the car at all .It was not better it was bad ,very bad..now i understand Schumacher making a long face after Qualy -he already knew what to expect..Ever the sportsman he does also fight for p12 =D> =D> I for once would just drive into the pits and leave for good ...

MGP must be the horror scenario for everyone analysing efficiency ...They were dooemed as soon as they announced tyre understanding was their sole problem .An epic fail to understand what was going on in the grid.

The question is :did MGP actually drop in performance or have others stepped up that much?

I´m looking forward to Laudas receipt to cure the situation - -in three months we will see him replace Brawn -in 6 months MGP disappears from formula 1...?

The Benchmark here has to be HRT who really just run the car and try to develop a little bit with what little they have.
HRT should then only be able to make inroads in car speed by knowing their beast better and better as the season progresses
when all others have a proper development plan going on and add potential to their machinery.

If Mercedes wanted to be successful without pouring money down the drain then they should have been wise to the con-artist Fat Norb selling them a lemon of a team that was still effectively the same as the Reynard/BAR/Honda shambles. They should have went out and bought a team who were doing good things on a budget for many years (there were a few going after 2009) like Sauber or the Renault team. Unfortunately the Daimler execs just weren't knowledgeable enough about Formula 1.

There is nothing you can say about today that hasn't already been said.

Brawn and Haug talking of GOOD race speed -but everyone looking at their longruns could see they were in for trouble- reflected by their actual race speed ....which was uncompetitive.

They were slow on the straights even in qualifying with DRS and that points to them having to add drag on to the car to keep pace with the downforce they need. They were always on a hiding to nothing. Unless they get something on the car they're going to fall away from Force India, Sauber, Torro Rosso and even Williams (who are falling back themselves) at a massive rate of knots.

someone who doesnt just keep recruiting and replacing people hoping to strike lucky...

nothing at mercedes during the last 3 years has convinced me its a team heading in the right direction and this season is easily the biggest shocker you can argue the field is closer than ever all you like but when im seeing mercs lapping 1+ seconds slower than the leaders and even the saubers , williams and force indias arent that far of the pace in the race you know something is rotten at mercedes and its certainly hasnt been the drivers.

the whole pitwall seems a joke the engineers are obviously clueless....

michael mentions the gearbox is messing up and all they say if "dont worry michael lets pretend everything is fine"

its like they go out of there way to put an act on that its all fine and dandy but behind the scenes it must just be one huge chaotic mish mash.

i can almost imagine a dart board in a staff room with different RND ideas on it to decide which direction the team will take and every week the dart is hitting a different one

ross might aswell be stroking a car somewhere bond villian style while hoping for a magic bullet

It is actually interesting how they drop compared to the other teams at this stage of the season. The teams which are overtaking them now focus already on next year’s car.
