I doubt it would be any worse. The one team that the media love to bash for team orders/number 1 driver favoritism etc. is Ferrari.

well every team had that option even now! anyone can change whatever they want and start from pitlane....so did Alonso at 2010 monaco.....i didnt see the outrage back then...so hence my point above

well the rules allow you to do that if you start from the pitt lane. Anyone could opt for this. Win pole, but elect to start from the Pit lane and you can do as you please. Simple

Its not the same as cynically sacrificing ones driver's good work for anothers shoddy work only to gift the advantage back to the shoddier driver. Can't understand why Massa wants to stay at Nando's team

the point is, the team takes a penalty in order to improve it's race prospects. in essence, it is the same thing as in Abu Dhabi.

Because he understands that he works for a team. The team does not work for him. They threw kimi under the bus to help massa win in 2008...and he almost did. You have a coach and that coach decides how he uses his players. You are all part of a team. If you don't like that, go play golf, tennis, or with yourself.

no no it is still not fine (even though team orders were allowed back then) because it was done by some specific driver and team......but as of now 2010 Germany is fine (even though the rules didnt allow it ) because that suits the majority of the fans' and media's agenda now

If Ferrari change Massa gearbox it would be genius. It would be a very good move.

EDIT :

According to Scarbs
If unhappy with ferraris gbox explanation the FIA might impose parc ferme rules, make massa start from the pitlane & not shuffle up the grid

This thread is becoming a joke.

Is this COTA thread, or random speculation and b---- fest about team principles and crap?
