Braking Analysis Telemetry ?

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Braking Analysis Telemetry ?

Post

Hi, this might interest some of you who are into the technical side of F1, found this on youtube, looks like someone has got access to telemetry of some f1 team & put out the actual lap data. Looks complex, would be nice if someone could decipher it for laymen like me. Thank you.

Is it real data or data derived from a game like rfactor?

The lap time around in the monza video is about 1:02 min, so i doubt it's real data from a F1 team.
Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

looks weird to me...

-Why brake temp against engine RPM?
-Why brake pedal position?
-Why 2 distinct brake activations in the entry to parabolica and lesmo 1?
-Why Motec software? I don't think F1 teams use that, they would probably be using Mclaren software
-Why is it sped up? If you look under the trace for throttle position its a ~90s lap but a 71s video

Either video game DAQ or not F1.

No F1 magic here, the video dates back in 2009. These videos are actually simulations.
