Exploitation of Exhaust Plumes and Coanda effect has been a hot topic in F1 for the last three years or so.
It is interesting to speculate that this interest followed a large UK Aerospace/Academic study into Fluidic Flight Control using the Coanda effect among other things.

There is a large research effort being concentrated in the UAV arena at the moment. I wonder what other technologies will be capable of transposition?
As we progress into the 2014 regulations, it will be interesting to see what can be achieved once the exhaust plume position is in a less advantageous position.
Any thoughts on “Fluidic Augmentation” for 2014?
