It could also be that Sauber even though they have the right innovative thinking perhaps can´t pull it off as a team but the concept will be good enough for teams to look at for 2014 and maybe evolve the concept further with a bigger budget etc.

Bit like the exhaust and their winglets Mclaren more or less went after later.

Also making the overcut easier to understand especially compared to Lotus is that you could say SAuber has shaved of that bit of the sidepod that isnt stretching the full lenght of the Lotus sidepod, the same on the Mclaren where the entire sidepod isnt all the way forward but the part close to the bardge board is further back.

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned before.

Looking at the above photos of the Sauber, the little flick on the back of the engine cover appears to be designed for use with a passive DRD, as the little flick doesn't appear to provide enough airflow to really make a difference in cooling and/or downforce on the monkey seat (since the huge gaping maw of the engine cooling port looks to do just fine). Similarly, the central section of the underside of the rear wing is black. While this could be considered a livery choice, is it possible that this section is a deep black to hide attachment points for the DRD pipe?

If that is charred rubber on the floor, we are seeing the crossover areas between where the floor is hot from the exhaust and there the tire is throwing bits of itself. Another exhaust path mapped after the one from Rosberg, cool! The rubber would be in the outer edge of the exhaust plume, plus we get to see where it first hits the floor. More than enough downwash/Coanda effect, apparently.

Could it be that a mechanic just put his hand on the tyre when putting down the wind blower and then roleld the tyre and got the rubber of by his hand and just put it there ?

Isnt that just like all other teams, they dont need to extend the wing all the way into the endplate and can use this area as they like, Red Bull or Lotus i think put a piece of metal with like 4 small winglets inside of it in this area.

Also it would have nothing to do with the legal DDRS they can use this year if they like cause that would be under the RW.
