Sauber C32 Ferrari

Yeah they are massively undercut but showin in pics on like 5 pages before this its to big, they will never get enough air thru that area especially not with the sidepod almost going out to the floor edge at its must outer point.

Sauber has less space at the back but much more round and smaller edges of the sidepod to start with so they get more air that way and even a lower nose to not get to much air.

I dont think the Ferrari is much better then the one they used in Brazil, but only Massa will tell us that since Alonso will drive the car good anyways.

I wonder where the Sauber is "cluttered" at the rear. Could you point these places out?
This car is absolutely clean and nicely shaped and designed. Everything is thought trough, especially at the rear.

I only included the rear half because of the sidepod comparison which is what differs both cars significantly

Everybody already knows it, but this shot just blatant show how incredible C32 is

What he's referring to is that at the beam wing, the sauber's coke bottle is about twice as wide.

I don't personally buy that this is any kind of issue though. We're talking about an increase in width of about 5-10cm there, and all the bodywork blocking the beam wing is in fact hot air exhaust, which is driving the beam wing nicely too.

I also think that Sauber are almost certainly getting more air to the outer sections of beam wing, because their side pods are in fact more tucked in around the bottom than ferraris – they're just way more tucked in around the top, making it look like the undercut is small.

Totaly different concepts.
The Sauber flows the air and exhaust together and aims it at the beam wing.

The Ferrari uses the side pod shape for a coander affect to the exhaust flow, directing it between the rear wheels and the diffuser end plates, sealing the air coming from the diffuser and increasing DF from the diffuser.
There is also a fairly 'free' flow of air to the beam wing, which will be far less turbulent than for the Sauber.

So they are running a rather low nose plus a bulge underneath it. Sauber must be really confident that the rear gets enough downforce.
