If it would not work properly or they would still not fully understand it, then they would probably go back to the conventional wing due these being the last few days of testing. This also makes me believe that the wing will not be used solely for lower df tracks.
It also leads me to suspect they think their DRD working.

Ted Kravitz just said on Sky that, so far, the biggest upgrade he have seen from any team is from Sauber.

According to him, the sidepods(near the exhausts, not on the entrance) are even slimmer now

I looked at a lot of images and couldn't notice a difference. Maybe it's one of those things that you look at and can't quite believe they were ever that small :P

It's almost like they rediculing the other teams. Everyone tries to keep their sidepod package as small and optimized as possible, and then we have Sauber laughing with how fat the other cars are.

I didn't see any difference in sidepod either, but Ted said he will show some pics later in the week....

But I hope and expect that some new things are introduced Saturday and Sunday as is the case for most teams

There are no proper angles to compare, yet. But maybe it's the place where it's written: "PaucoPlast" in this shot taken at last week's test:

It gives the impression to be further "squashed" in this 2 shots taken today:

They apperently are using much less air volume to push down the exhaust gasses. This could be beneficial; if it is still sufficient to get the exhaust gasses down, then they have a benefit there because all the rest of the airflow goes either over the top of the sidepods, or around them.
The back looks very clean; air can pretty much move unonbstructed.

Well he said the downstream part was shrunken so the exhaust bulges, and he did say bulges not bulges more.

But he must mean bulges more cause the exhaust has always been a bulge on the side of this sauber compared to the ferrari or mclaren with their flat downstream.

It occurred to me that perhaps Sauber can get away with lower-drag wing and not suffer an appreciable loss in downforce because their subtlepods™ allow enough airflow to make up the difference. Downforce neither knows nor cares, so to speak, if it's the product of a large wing and low air density or a (relatively) small wing and (again, relatively) high air density.

sounds plausible to me

On another note, following the exhaust's marks, you can have an idea of roughly where the plume is going:
