Actually the sole arbiter of Formula One is probably Bernie. But aside from that MANY people are grumbling because we cant see battles any more. Overtaking has turned into one guy running out of tyre and giving up the fight.myurr wrote:Who appointed you sole arbiter of Formula One all of a sudden? These tires are against the spirit of this formula. I take it you're not a soccer fan? How about if we spread the posts so that more goals are scored? Might it interest you then? Save your WWII rant for another day.
I concur. He's already at the back of the grid. If they fill him up high, maybe have him leave from the pit-lane ala Vettel in Abu Dhabi, and throw caution to the wind, he'll have a hell of a fun time racing at real 10/10ths, especially with the overtaking (albeit artificial) opportunities with the double DRS zones. Considering it's the 3rd race of the season, not the penultimate, they can attempt the aggression.Websta wrote:I think Webber should try an aggressive strategy, try to be the quickest driver on track at all times. That could work if the 3 stoppers try to stretch the final stint too long, and if Webber is on fresher rubber at the end, allowing him to scythe through the 10th-5th placed drivers ala China 2011. He's not going to get anywhere higher than maybe 9th or 8th with the same strategy as the rest of the top 10 (3 stopping) and trying to stretch a two stopper is not going to be quick enough.
I've never been that good at strategies though
Looks like he got on the gas before the apex for the final turn. Perhaps slowing down a little too much on entry? The only other blemish I saw was a slight twitch in the long right-hander that curls onto the back straight.Crucial_Xtreme wrote:So very smooth! The Merc looks very good especially onboard

I don't think they can go above 3 stops. A 4th stop would mean (at least) 2 stints on the bubble gum softs.Websta wrote:I think Webber should try an aggressive strategy, try to be the quickest driver on track at all times. Do you remember that in that era EACH of us (yes mate, even YOU...try and remember right) did the rain dance to have some wet races because that was one of the very few hope not to sleep during the gp?
now, strangely, many of us, many of YOU, blame the wet because it ruins the race...
...ahhh did you ask yourself WHY?

Maybe English isn't your first language but honestly your posts have been far more insulting than even that one passage in my post that you have picked out. You still have not addressed a single point in the rest of my post which is possibly why others don't believe you understand the issues. If you want a nice clean debate then you need to raise your game and give us something to debate. Insulting us and saying we're not race fans is not the right approach.SilverArrow wrote:"Who appointed you sole arbiter of Formula One all of a sudden? Stupidity needs no argument.
"Hear hear! An excellent argument, well formed and, no doubt, it will not be countered other than by straw men and ad hominems... such is the standard of this forum these days."
Pointing out stupidity is not the same as throwing insults. Personally I find it insulting to have that post labeled as an excellent argument...
