Re: Introduce yourself here

Post

Hi, NMT here. I have long been a fan of f1 technical. However, I recently started a word press blog called GP Evolved http://www.gpevolved.wordpress.com in which I am starting with 1950 and going through the development one race at a time. It's proving to be a fascinating journey for myself, a f1 viewer only since about 2005 to really delve into the history of F1.

Anyway, it's that blog that I started that has led to me register for f1technical.

Feel free to check out my blog and leave me any constructive feedback.
Check out my project at http://www.gpevolved.com. I am attempting to retell the story of F1, one race at a time. Stop by for a taste of Formula 1 in the 1950s.

Hi everyone,

I'm Joao, from Lisbon, Portugal. Found your forum recently and as a F1 follower decided to join right away.
Spend 11 years working in motorsport as racecar engineer and other related roles, unfortunately never working with formulas.

All the best for you!

Joao

Hi everyone! My name is Charlie. I'm an American who's been living in Germany (Regensburg) for the past 20 years. I studied mechanical engineering / automotive engineering at the FH Regensburg, and have been working in the quality area ever since. But I haven't lost my interest for what makes cars fast
My other interests include computers & music. Hope to learn more and also share what I know.

Hi!

My name is Ivan and I am here to share my thoughts about technical F1 side and to have some eloquent debates with lovers of F1. I am 20 years old and I am Mechanical Engineering student, in my free time I do a lot in CAD and in debating about car industry and writing articles in magazine about mechanical engineering side in every form of four wheels vehicles.

Hello to all reading this message,

My name is George Dounas and I am the founder of ARROWS, a project that takes a vanguard view of the cockpit simulation, aiming to redefine the model racecar concept.

We have recently launched a polling challenge in the Indiegogo crowd funding platform, named the “ARROWS a.k.a. How to drive Sebastian, Fernando and Lewis out of business” project that can be found at:
http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/33333 ... 91b81feb89

You are welcome to visit the platform, consider the suggestion made and, if agree, support our proposal.

Furthermore and regardless of whether you want to participate in the poll, you are invited to visit our page at http://www.arrows-csrs.com and send us your views on the project.

I wish to apologize beforehand if by my direct approach I have offended any of the users of the forum in any way, or indeed if by contacting you, the way I do, I have violated the forum rules.

Thanks for your attention.
The ARROWS Team

Heya Guy,

Long time reader, first time poster. Some great stuff on this forum :) such as the couple that bought an F1 Car :o

Anyone Im from Ireland and been following F1 since 2002. I love the sport, and have launched my own site to try and bring F1 bloggers and fans together, to create some amazing articles :) - Note this is not a forum

If anyone is interested in reading some of our latest articles on the Australian Grand Prix - see links below.

On another note, things may get interesting in Malaysia with Pirelli confirming that they will be using the new P Zero Orange hard compound.

Hi I am from South Africa.

I am a qualified Mechanical Technician. My interests are Aircrafts(high performance......mainly fighters :D ) and Formula 1. I have a need.....a NEED for SPEED ! ! I would love to be involved in these 2 industries. First found this site as I was searching for technical info about F1 and found it very informative and interesting. Now that I am a member I really enjoy interacting with other members.
I am seriously consirdering furthering my studies into the aeronatical field and enjoy especially aerodynamics. I have some CFD experience but haven't practised for a long time. I would dearly love to get back into doing some CFD work. Anyone who knows of courses/online courses, articles, books, sites anything I can use to expand my knowledge is welcome to contact me.

Everyone is welcome to contact me with advise or for advice.

Thanks for a brilliant site.

Thanks tifoso! I didn't think anybody would read stuff on page 31 of the thread =P

My name is Michael and I'm a third year mechanical engineering student from Perth, Western Australia. I'd like to build my own Formula 1 car one day! An old one from like 1989-92 because they'd be simpler, with less secrecy and I like them better. But thats my dream car! Trackdays with one of those babies would be amazing!!

Hello all!

Adam here, from the state of Minnesota in the US. Been following F1 closely for a few years now and am looking to learn more about the technical side of things. As far as teams go I root for McLaren mostly, and find myself pulling for Force India as well every now and then. Though, I must admit, there is something simply iconic about those red Ferraris.... Drivers, well, I pull for Jenson Button. Anyway, aside from F1 I enjoy following and playing Rugby Union (though I don't do the latter very well), soccer, brewing my own beer, and reading/studying history. I am also a veteran of the US Marines and have had the chance to get out of America a few times. Looking forward to my time here!
