I should know this by heart, but I still draw a blank...unless it was the first race with outboard fronts on the 711?

Ronnie had a bad brake-shaft failure in Frank Williams' private 711 at the Race of Champions at Brands and I know he demanded Robin Herd to rebuild the factory cars with outboard fronts after that.

Poor Frank probably had to soldier on with inboards, unless he paid MrM an unscrupulous amount to have the rebuild.

As a side note, Frank thought he had bought a finished car, but the 711 was delivered IKEA-style.

And hard used instead of new wasn't it?

The remains of orange paint suggested it was a Brambilla Beta Tools car. So hard used indeed

That was when Frank bought a "new" 761, this 711 was actually a brand new model only three races into the season,
but I doubt if the parts came with the typical IKEA learning-by-doing sketch and an insex-key.

Sorry Matt, not a clue there, but with the 48 h rule I'll have a go;

Under what pseudonym did Carlo Franchi race in F1?

Copper, what in the world made Robin Herd to go that route at Monaco, thermal convection?

Carlo Franchi's nick was "Gimax"

Which was the first race with an Alfa Romeo 3.0 V8 in F1, race, car and driver?

Gold star for who designed the chassis.

The race is wrong I'm afraid, but the rest is correct.
