Was it that it had carburetors? 8 of them in fact, one per cylinder. That was only on the prototype though. When it raced, it had a Spica fuel injection system.

I'm with the carbs and having separate ones. Pretty sure it has what looks like webbers on it with a huge tank above it. Found a pic for reference:

That's it, the darn thing was presented to the in 1982 with carburetors and the press didn't really know what to make of it.

Antiuser has the go, unless Shilo beats him to it with something classy of course!

Quickie one: with the recent announcement of drivers' 2014 race numbers by the FIA, we can see that Pastor Maldonado will race with the rare no. 13. When was the last time a car raced in F1 with that number, what car was it and who was driving?

Which team originally was hopeful for a japanese 12-cilinder engine deal, but fell through and the manufacturer's engine ended up in another team but ended up being a huge disaster?

As Motori Moderni had provided Minardi with a Turbo V6 during 85-87, they were the logical choice for the "Subaru" 3.5 flat-12, as tested here in 1989, but luckily for Giancarlo the deal fell through somehow and the engine was given to Coloni instead;
